Careers?

Hey USMers

So I got to thinking a little a bit ago on what I want to do with my life. I graduated high school almost a month ago..I'll be turning 18 in like 9 days and I have no plan whatsoever for the future. I don't know what career I  want, I don't know where I want to live etc etc

So just for kicks, I figured just name a whole bunch of careers that I could consider. I know there are probably many out there that I *might* be interested in, just never knew about. So if you all could be lovely and name a bunch of careers, I'd love you forever ;) LoL

What is your career? What was/is your dream career? I remember years ago I made a post about what was your dream career..I should find it and update this and see if they succeeded in their dream career and see what they're doing today..

So...any ideas? =)

Date: 6/22/2008 6:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 64566    Scoobs , I did not have a career. All i did for 21 years was work at a sporting goods store for maybe just a little over minimum wage. If you are in good health and a real active person and enjoy helping other people , I would suggest you could consider being a physical therapist , work in nursing homes , assistant living , maybe be a petsitter and have your own business and hours. My guess there are so many people that get into computer things I would do something that there is not much interest to a lot of people and still make money. If I was in good health and could hear well I would be a pet sitter for sure.

Date: 6/22/2008 6:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 12072    hmm...I'd say a music teacher but I know you don't want to teach. You should make a list of what you like to do and don't like to do. I think I'm going to look into becoming a credit counselor (you know me, always worried about money, that way I could worry about someone else's too, LOL)
Date: 6/22/2008 7:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 21867    My current career: Psych Consultant - Mental Health. Dream Career: Sitting on my butt and getting paid lots and lots of money for doing nothing...haven't quite found that one yet...if anyone sees it advertised please let me know...
Date: 6/22/2008 7:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 7830    best careers of 2008 right here! http://www.usnews.com/features/business/best-careers/best-careers-2008.html
Date: 6/22/2008 8:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 64497    Personally, I am going to go to a community college first and get in the basics before I commit to a career path. I want to be a forensic psychologist or just a psychologist, but who knows if that will change in 2 years time. I think if you don't know what you are going to do yet then community college would be good for you, plus it's a lot cheaper lol.
Date: 6/22/2008 10:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 62100    When I was younger..and yes, even today- my dream is to be a published author- but circumstances being what they were, I went through a string of jobs, each successively slightly better than the last, until I eventually wound up in the career that I now have..which is an LPN in a skilled nursing facility..it *is* a rewarding job and pays well..but it's not my first choice
Date: 6/23/2008 1:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 26303    Hey BoH, I was going to suggest that for Jen. You love music Jen, try to find something that you could incorporate your love for it. Maybe a choir master or something.
Date: 6/23/2008 5:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 10245    I've got the first part down, AS... haven't found anyone willing to send checks yet. If I do, I won't be notifying you until after they turn me down ;o)
