If, you can't afford a doctor's visit then I would say sadly you should probably wait at the ER I am sorry that you have such a horrible experience with them |

Funny thing bout that wretched hospital: they said I could go for a walk in appointment at their doctor clinics (I deemed this an emergency do the pain) but its all WALK IN...SAME WAIT. AHHH I hate them so much!!! But thats another topic. AO Im only in my 20s, and this is the only time Ive ever had pain there. I dont think its that, but your right similar symptoms. Glad its not constant |

Oh, Lord, I have no idea what could have happened to it! It sounds excruciating, its just way too bad the ER stinks b/c my only suggestion is goin to a doctor! Eek...do you have an urgent care you would be able to go to and hopefully not wait SIX hours? I hope you get it figured out and that it feels better soon, hon! |

The way I look at it, you can spend 6 hours in the hospital to try and get it fixed, or spend another 24 hours in pain and with no answers. Personally, I would take the faster of the 2. I hope you feel better. |

You,know there is always a remedy when your muscle is pulled? When,i pulled my muscle, whether it be my arm, lumbar, and or my back, there is always a way to get your muscles alligned. If you don't have inversion table, there is a monkey bars that you can go upside down with and every part of your arm will aligned. You,may need help to do this,so you can have your self up on that monkey bar. The,problem with this now,you have let it go through pain, and now will start swelling. You,see recently i flipped my foot right in between the cement, and the ground a mistep. It hurts like you would not believed, and i screamed so loud, and for sure the neighbor heard me lol.Gawd, that hurts, and the sad part,i was on my way to the field trip carrying two seats and drinks for my son.Talk, about pain i have to endure while the throbbing pain just pumping through while walking. You,know after the walk, and consistent of not allowing pain to distrupt me in this field trip. It,actually subsided after a while, and no need to use any hard type shoe to keep my foot from moving.I realized moving it and trying to alligned what has been tripped is best,so you can allow the muscle to compensate with it,and the slight swelling will heal sooner, than you realized. If you feel that it hurts to much to go on the monkey bar,try re-searching in YouTube, and see what others do when their arms are pulled,or you can check out any sites that offers remedy to your pulled muscle.I hope you find answers to your problem, and being able to relax....(((((hugs)))))....Much Love and God Bless |

For eight months, my doctor thought the pain in my left shoulder that travelled down to my fingers was a pulled muscle in my shoulder because the x-ray showed nothing wrong. FINALLY he had an MRI done on me which showed it was a disc between my sixth & seventh vertebrae that was out of alignment and constantly compressed. I ended up having to have a disc fusion in my spine. I now have permanent tingling in my fingers from the nerve damage. IF I were you, and this pain doesn't go away but lingers, I'd demand an MRI because x-rays do NOT show everything! I hope it's only muscle issues!! |

Ah, I also had a fear of going to sleep because when I woke up the pain in my shoulder and forearm was more intense. Found out that the reason was because when I slept, the disc in my vertebrae was being compressed even more. I also was given a sling but in hindsight, I should've been given a neck brace. Good luck! |

Try some ibuprofen. It helps with the pain but it also helps with the swelling(even if you can't see any swelling). Then take it easy for a couple of weeks. |
