I've been having computer problems for a couple months. It started getting worse this past week. It was missing a couple of files. I tried to get help from microsoft but nothing seemed to work. I have windows xp and tried to restore it a few times. It still didn't work. Yesterday I did a couple more restores and now it messed it up really good. I lost more rundll files. I can't even get Internet Explorer to work. Control Panel says everything is still there. I can't do a recovery on it because I have very important things and pictures of my dad taken 2 days before he passed away, plus his funeral pictures. Can anyone help me try to save my computer? How do I get the restore to work, or get internet explorer to work and the files back it's missing. HELP! PLEASE someone!!!!

Put your pictures on a dvd and you can watch them on your tv it works for cds too. Put all your files on a cd it sounds to me like you are going to have to do a factory default restore.

Date: 3/12/2008 10:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 61847    Save your pictures to a couple different locations, external drives, thumb drives, and things and then restore the computer and dump all your old files.
Date: 3/12/2008 11:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 4231    Sassy...don't do anything else with it. Take it to somone who can wipe it and re-install Windows. The only way to save your files at this point is to have your files stored on a USB or some other saving Mechanism and then re-installing windows. If you can access your files (Pictures, documents) anything you want to keep get them and save them on a USB stick or a disc immediatly. Hope this helps.
