Dozens reported trapped, hurt or missing after twisters in South
Union University staff and students search through the rubble of dormitory buildings destroyed when a tornado passed through the campus in Jackson, Tenn., on Tuesday night
Tornadoes across four Southern states tore through homes, ripped the roof off a shopping mall and blew apart warehouses in a rare spasm of violent winter weather that killed at least 22 people and injured dozens more.
The twisters that slammed Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky were part of a line of storms that raged across the nation's midsection at the end of a day of Super Tuesday primaries in several states.
The storms killed at least 11 people in Arkansas and eight people in Tennessee, and three adults died outside Greenville, Ky., in the western part of the state, authorities said.

-------------------------------------------------------------
This storm hit north of us, in Tennessee, and west of us in Mississippi. As I type this, it's lighting and booming thunder is all I can hear. We (Northwest Alabama) are currently in the second part of this storm, and are under a tornado watch until 5 Am.
Please keep us and those hit by these monster storms, in your thoughts and prayers. I'm going to try to get some sleep, but I don't know if it's going to be possible.
I hope that this storm hitting us now, isn't as bad as the other storms, because they are heading in the general direction the other ones already hit.
I have friends and family, in Tennessee, where two of the Tornados hit. One hit southeast of Memphis, and the other around Nashville. I also have a few friends in western Kentucky, that I hope are ok.
Not to mention the many many USMers, that could be in these areas. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims' families, friends, as well as those that have and may go through these storms tonight.
*hugs to each of you* Stay safe.
