Date: 1/22/2008 5:42:00 PM From Authorid: 49763 I think it takes a moderate amount of talent and a very good PR person ~~ |
Date: 1/22/2008 5:44:00 PM From Authorid: 15228 I think charisma, sometimes that is as important as a good voice. |
Date: 1/22/2008 5:45:00 PM From Authorid: 28190 Definitely takes talent. I think it also takes a certain amount of personal respect, in wanting to be a good role model, as well as motivation to continue on that long journey that one most often takes in pursuit of fame. I think it takes a strong person, and a realistic one too. One that knows where their faults are, and does their best to improve and learn. All in all though, first and foremost, they must have a huge amount of natural talent, or they aren't going to go very far at all. *hugs* |
Date: 1/22/2008 5:46:00 PM From Authorid: 63026 There is no real answer to that question...Some Singers may be famous to some, but not to all. I think you need to be able to connect to people, and be nice to the fans. |
Date: 1/22/2008 5:48:00 PM From Authorid: 28190 Well, I agree with the Good PR person too and Charisma too. Britney, for one, is a singer/artist that comes to mind, on that one. Unfortunately, these days, even the best of PR people can help salvage what little is left of her career. She's gonna have to make some changes, herself in order to reclaim some of that "good" publicity that she definitely needs for her career to survive everything she's doing/going through. *hugs* |
Date: 1/22/2008 6:01:00 PM From Authorid: 7830 hmmm..now a days for someone to become a famous singer you have to have NO talent, and know the right connections, lol. seriously. famous singers now a days all seem to be the worst singers. |
Date: 1/22/2008 6:06:00 PM From Authorid: 31255 Now a days it seems like drama and a lot of skin and some singing talent can equal to being a famous singer. A good singer though takes talent, skill, and perseverance. |
Date: 1/22/2008 6:06:00 PM From Authorid: 64365 It takes a pretty good voice, the ability to make a song work, showmanship and poise, a great personality, and lots of exposure... |
Date: 1/22/2008 6:24:00 PM From Authorid: 15070 Talent. Pure and simple. |

Good singer = good voice. Famous = has the right connections and or look. NOt necessarily talent. Good/famous singer = Someone with a good voice, fortunate enough to have the right connections. Exception to the rules are the ones who are good singers, and they never give up their dream to be famous and they keep on at it. Even then, it's not always possible to get anywhere. OH yeah, good singers aren't allowed to buck the system with producers etc. |
Date: 1/22/2008 6:56:00 PM From Authorid: 40979 Will power, charisma, people skills, has to be bold and outgoing...definately needs to have talent, a good voice and look decent. |
Date: 1/22/2008 7:54:00 PM From Authorid: 8555 I think that there are many amazing singers out there who will never be famous because record companies are more interested in a someone they can market. They need looks, a great body and charisma. Seems these days signing comes low on the list of things required to become a famous siger. Makes me sick actually.... |
Date: 1/22/2008 8:11:00 PM From Authorid: 27826 Incredible voice topped with beauty and charm. |
Date: 1/22/2008 8:13:00 PM From Authorid: 11097 Talent and originality :] |
Date: 1/22/2008 8:28:00 PM From Authorid: 10657 I think you have to have charisma. I have heard many people sing that aren't strong singers including famous people that have charisma so, it makes you want to buy thier albums and hear them live |
Date: 1/22/2008 9:08:00 PM From Authorid: 820 I think it takes courage and especially a lot of talent to be a good singer. I mean, you have to be able to sing. I think a lot of range and different vocal styles help as well. I don't think being a good singer and being famous neccessarily go hand in hand, though. Most of what's produced these days is so digitally altered that anyone can put out an album and have a top 40 dance hit. Just take a look at Neil Young: he has a pretty unusual voice, it's not neccessarily perfect and you can tell he's never really taken any sort of singing lessons, but there is so much meaning to the words he's singing that it overshadows that fact. He's also been putting out records for decades now. |

Date: 1/23/2008 12:56:00 AM From Authorid: 8024 there are alot of people with the talent... the # the number one thing is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ alot of it ... c |
Date: 1/23/2008 1:20:00 AM From Authorid: 47151 To be a GOOD singer, you need talent. To become a famous singer, you need a lot more.. You need willpower and stamina.. you need to be forward, open and spontane. You need a sparkle in your eye and to be a person other people wanna be. |
Date: 1/23/2008 5:45:00 AM From Authorid: 63725 I think it takes being unique. Alot of people can sing well but to be unique means the song actually "becomes" theirs. |
Date: 1/23/2008 6:25:00 AM From Authorid: 64414 Exposure....even the most talented person will not make in showbiz it if nobody knows about them. |
Date: 1/23/2008 9:38:00 AM From Authorid: 53284 To me a good singer is one who has a good voice and can sing on key. There are lots of good singers. So what does it take to be famous? I think that more than anything else, it takes a good singer with some luck. For whatever reason, to be famous people need to be exposed to your music and you have to develop a group of people who when they hear one of your songs will tell other people to listen. |
Date: 1/23/2008 10:15:00 AM From Authorid: 57079 I think the person needs a good voice (and by good voice I mean that they need something that and be enhanced by studio production and they can sing decent enough live that people will wnat to see them) and be able to perform and put on a good show. |
Date: 1/23/2008 10:40:00 AM From Authorid: 64549 Talent. The great ones (think Christina Aguilera vs Britney Spears) always outshine the mediocre ones in the end. |
Date: 1/23/2008 12:42:00 PM From Authorid: 30051 Not only a good singing voice, but charisma..and beauty helps too..sad to say but it's true. |
Date: 1/23/2008 3:25:00 PM From Authorid: 27583 all one needs is enough talent to carry you through. and the right voice to go with the talent. two examples are fredy fender and charlie pride. both became famous before the public knew what they even looked like.. |
Date: 1/23/2008 3:39:00 PM From Authorid: 15157 What does it take to make a good/famous singer. For one you need to have a really strong voice. Because being a singer does not just mean you can carry a tune...it means you will have to be able to sing a long time. When you are in the recording studio you will be asked to do so. You have to have a strong voice to overcome becoming hoarse. I am in the Karaoke business and if I let myself I can get hoarse very fast. |
Date: 1/23/2008 3:43:00 PM From Authorid: 15157 And a strong character because you need to be charismatic so people will like you Dont be shy..be bold and likable. |
Date: 1/23/2008 4:48:00 PM From Authorid: 64162 I think it takes talent (of course), charm, a love for the business and the ability to connect with people. If no one relates to the music, where can you go? |
Date: 1/23/2008 9:52:00 PM From Authorid: 55967 Really, only a great singing voice, the ability to use it well in conjunction with the diaphragm, etc., a lot of practice, and perseverance. Beyond that, there have been people who did not look that good naturally who became famous, and there have been rather rude people who became famous. What counts, what people will want to experience, is the voice. And an ear for beat so you can go with the music. |
Date: 1/24/2008 1:03:00 AM From Authorid: 64160 Peace, and talent, and the drive to stay with it, never give up on your limits!! (30) |
