I am Officially on VACATION!!!.......LadyLuck

Hello USM!

Yep, you heard it here. I AM ON VACATION!! WOOOHOOO!! I have 11 whole days off without having to go to work, think about work, worry about work..blah blah blah. I made sure that I assigned someone to the center that I could trust to handle things in my absence and I am going to relax and enjoy my family for the first time in MANY months.

Work has been stressful at best recently. There is so much uncertainty right now. I just needed to get away. I don't know what the new year is going to bring, but for now I am not going to worry about it.

You see, in July our company merged with a larger European company. In the beginning I was excited because it took our company from a million dollar company to a multi BILLION dollar company. I knew there had to be a catch though..*sigh*. The company is "restructuring" and about 40 people have been let go. They call it "aligning" themselves with the new company's way of doing things..

I then found out that my center is in the danger zone. We don't know what the future holds. I deal constantly with questions from my Employees. How do I tell them that the new year may bring them unemployement??

Anyway, enough of that!! I am not going to think about it for the next 11 days. (yeah right).

Merry Christmas USM!! One thing about this place is that it is a constant!! I can always count on this site and you people. THANK YOU!!
