Date: 12/15/2007 3:30:00 AM From Authorid: 25390 LMAO. I still love the Celeste eating deodorant story. YUCK! As for potty training boot camp, I wish I could tell ya, LOL. Hunter was a pain in the butt to potty train!! I had to just keep him on a schedule. Every 30 minutes he went to the bathroom whether he had to go or not. Finally, he just sort of "got the hang of it." I had him trained on "tee tee" first. Going "poop" was a different story. That took a LOT of patience. |
Date: 12/15/2007 6:05:00 AM From Authorid: 33925 Beautiful pics Becky!! I cannot believe Celeste is so big now!! Look at the hair!! Wow..Life has this funny way of keeping you busy doesn't it?? Man I hate the "real" world sometimes..LOL |
Date: 12/15/2007 6:59:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 16845 Yeah LL She finally is growing hair!!! LOL I think Savannah had more hair at birth than celeste did at 18 months LOL |
Date: 12/15/2007 7:03:00 AM From Authorid: 62579 Beautiful family you have. We had an ice storm once and had no power for 10 days! We lost a lot of our forest because the trees just fell all over the place from the weight of the ice. I guess I am not alone. I have a 3.5 yr old and 5 month old. I could go on all day with my stories lol. |
Date: 12/15/2007 7:07:00 AM From Authorid: 10245 best potty training boot camp: wait until she's showing physical signs of being ready, then hide all of the pull ups and diapers. Best bet: switch her to pull ups for a little bit first, then get rid of them, so she won't automatically think about asking for one of the baby's diapers. Let her pick out her own big girl panties and let her get them wet them a couple times. She'll catch on quick. You can get a diaper cover to help cut down on puddles around the house and the resulting laundry pile. Good luck! I trained all of mine the same way and had it done within a couple of days for both versions, though one of my sons was a lot older than the others before we found success. Girls are a whole bunch easier. |
Date: 12/15/2007 7:09:00 AM From Authorid: 10245 your girls are adorable, Becky! and even though ice storms are treacherous, they sure are beautiful! Love the stories... welcome to the wonderful world of being the mother of a trouble making toddler. ;o) Aren't eggs fun? Mine still do that kind of thing. |
Date: 12/15/2007 7:19:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 16845 She's been in pull ups for a LONG time (At least a year).....because she wouldn't leave normal diapers on, but will leave the pull ups on. She's showing signs of being ready. She'll even sit on the potty un-prompted. or tell us that she wants to go potty, etc.. The problem is we just can't get her to do anything. I even tried just switching to the underwear......I didn't even think to use diaper covers. There's a thought. Anyway. We're going to work with her over christmas....we'll be at my folks house so I can get my mom to help out a bit, maybe save some of my sanity Thanks folks |
