I'm generally kind of lazy... or maybe that's not the right word. I don't like it. Especially when appliend to myself. Lacking ambition? No... that doesn't work for me, either. Easily Distracted? Yeah... I can live with that.
Last week, a package arrived in my mailbox, but I didn't know it. Because I hadn't checked my mail. Because I was being lazy. I mean... I was distracted. No one wants to consider that our filth might be the "gift with purchase" being offered for the holiday season, so I've been cleaning my behind off trying to erradicate some of it before we stick a "For Sale" sign in the front yard.
So, I'd imagine this package arrived sometime around Tuesday, maybe Wednesday (?), but I didn't know it until sometime Saturday evening when I finally ventured out to the mailbox.
It was a long, gueling walk of about 25 feet... but it's getting cold in Michigan and I haven't found my mittens yet! I'm waiting until I have the clutter cleared. (We call that motivation!)
But anyway... I made this long, cold, grueling 25' walk to the mailbox to find that if I'd have waited one more day, the postman would probably have to start stacking it on the ground around the mailbox. But since today's a holiday, I might have had 2 more.
Nestled amongst the envelopes that screamed about low interest rates, price reductions just in time for Christmas and demands for payments, I found this puffy yellow envelope, that appeared to be mail of the "good" variety. There was a note on the outside that excitedly exclaimed, "Hi Catlady!" (Cats are not on my list of most favorite animals... I NEVER thought I'd end up with that title! LOL) Inside that puffy yellow envelope was a t-shirt from the Texas G2G!
Now I can lie and say I was there! I got the t-shirt to prove it!
Thank you so much for thinking of me, Kiki. :o)
