Today is my husband and my Fourth Wedding anniversary. :)
Four years ago today, at 4:30 pm October 25,2003, my husband and I were standing in the middle of a packed Renaissance Festival, complete in attire that I made, saying our vows. I have such fond memories of that day, and smile every time I think of it, because it was like I was a Princess, and was having the fairytale wedding of my dreams.
Four years ago today, I met Irish Raven for the first time. She drove all the way up here to be at my wedding, and reception. I will always remember her singing "The Rose" for my husband and I, at our reception. She has since become one of my greatest friends that I've ever had.
This last year has been really tough for my husband and I, due to all my health problems. My migraines continue, and I don't have any news on why they are. I have a neurologist now trying to help me, so hopefully we can get things fixed soon. :)
We didn't get each other gifts this year, because we couldn't afford to, but he wrote me a fabulous letter with a poem, and I drew him a portrait of our family, within a heart. (I wish lil man hadn't broken our camera, I'd take a picture of it.. *sigh* :D ) I am also making this right now.

I decided that this year, since my health has stunk, that I'd make this post extra special and include in our vows. This part is mostly for my husband to read (Which he is a member here, but lost his information eons ago, and never can keep it... lol!). I have also put the appropriate (You, I's, etc;) into it so that it's easier to read. :) We actually said Thou, and Thee, alot in there.
Our Special Vows that we and our Officiant wrote:
Nakoma:
You light up my world. Before I met you my days were gray and murky, each filled with a wanting like no other. You have changed all that with your love. Everyday is a superbly happy adventure since I have fallen in love with you.
The rain is softer, the flowers are lovlier, and my laughter more joyous than ever, all because of your love. Thank you for loving me and for lighting up my life. I am humbled by your love and thankful to be able to return that same love, from a heart that is spilling over with joy. This is the happiest day of my life, as I take you as my wife. Committing my self, unconditionally to you, for the rest of our lives.
Me:
Every experience we have had, everything we have ever done, everything we have ever learned has brought us to this very moment. When we stand before these witnesses, to take each other as husband and wife, we will no longer be individuals, but a strong dual force, bonded by love. As we confront the future together, I promise to stand by your side, as we face new experiences, I promise to face them with you. As man and wife, -always growing together, honoring, respecting, and cherishing eah other through all life has in store for us.
We bring our individual strengths and weaknesses to this marriage, but as we stand together, as a couple, we shall be strong together. May we compliment each other, and be exactly what each other needs as our love continues to deepen. I give myself, to you. You have made me, the happiest woman in the world, brightening my life with your love, and your devotion. I commit myself, unconditionally to you, for the rest of our lives.
Nakoma:
Today, I choose you to be my life Partner. I promise to sleep by your side, to be the joy of your heart, the food to your soul and the best person I can be- For You.
I promise to laugh with you when times are good, and to lift you up when they are bad. I promise to wash away your tears with my kisses, and hold you sweetly, yet gladly, until our days on Earth are over.
Me:
As we stand in the shade of God's creation. I offer myself to thee as your wife. Our love is reflected in the flowers that bloom and the strength of the towering tree, always growing, always reaching perfection. Just as the trees reach for the Heavens, and the blooms open their faces to the sun-- Just as this park is a living thing, so shall our union be as well. May it continue always, it shall thrive until death doth part us.
_Oo_ RINGS_oO_
I (Ryan Nakoma/ Amanda Gail) bring this ring as a symbol of my love and fidelity as your ( husband/ wife ) and I slide it upon your finger. I commite my very heart and soul to you my dear and ask you to wear this as a reminder of the vows we have taken here today. Will you receive my love, with this circle of trust, and honor me, by being my (husband/wife)?
(Each said I do) :D
(Sorry, the ring part was identical so I didn't want to have to type it twice. )

Four years later, I love you Nakoma, as much as ever, actually- more. I am so very thankful to have you in my life. I'm happy to be your wife. I love you for all that you are and more, and forever will. :) You and Alex are my world and I wouldn't have it any other way!!!
I love you both soooo very much that mere words just do not accurately begin to describe how much.
Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart!!!
