Yeah, Rika, I can feel sorry for someone's family, but Sometimes a bit of Schadenfreude is appropriate. This is a man who has done untold harm with his glib anti-scientism and narrow minded Christian bigotry. He preached that homosexuality is a sickness that can be healed. He was one of the slimiest promoters of pseudo-science, and pseudo history and his attacks on atheism were vicious and unprincipled in the extreme. He rigged the facts so as to portray Abe Lincoln as a devout Christian and made out like the founding fathers were rabid evangelicals. |

A gay classical pianist who worked for The Coral Ridge Ministries has this to say: "Dr. Kennedy has had TONS of gay people working at his church and singing in the choir. Their whole music department was queerer than a three dollar bill and everyone in the choir just rolled their eyes when he "started up" about homosexuals. Of course everyone was hoping and praying not to get caught on camera. I remember the most agonizing moment ever was when the choir, chock full of gay men and a lesbian organist were perfoming on national television: "He is coming soon!!" The stupid song keeps chanting over and over: "He is coming soon! He is coming soon! He is coming soon!" I thought I was going to die laughing that day." |
