Well, that is good news sweetie You know maybe something you are eating is triggering the migraines? Have you tried tiger's balm? It works on mine not all of the time but some of the time ((HUGS)) |

I'm glad to hear that your mammogram results came back without bad news. A journal for your migraines is a good idea. Hopefully soon you will find answers for why you're having these migraines. *hugs* You're in my prayers, Amanda. |

Sounds like the lump was a fibroid cyst..VERY normal especially after child birth and such..It's almost like a blocked milk duct. I get them quite often and they are not serious at all. I hope you can get the answers you need about your migraines very soon! Love you bunches and bunches! |

So far haven't found any triggers, but I am keeping a journal now, hopefully within the next few weeks I can distinguish a pattern to know if it is evironmental or something that I am intaking. I've never heard of Tiger's balm.. What is that? *hugs* |

Thank you Zeebs, Kiki, and SD Angel I hope that I can get my doctor to explore further with me, it'd be great to be able to say at least what I "KNOW" isn't causing it, since I don't have answers now. A few people here have suggested some very good ideas to ask my doctor. I had a spinal block when I had my son, one suggested that it could be my sciatic nerve. Another suggested it could be a blood vessel issue, and someone just today let me know that there was a broadcast in her area about a woman that got migraines when the weather did drastic changes. I have many more than this as theories go, that are written down. I plan on asking my doctor to look into all of them to see if we can narrow down what it might be if it isn't environmentals or something I am eating. Thanks gals! *hugs* |

Amanda sorry I haven't made it back here lol. Tiger's balm is something you can get at just about any store look in the pharmacy section or ask them if they carry it. It sorta comes in a little tub like carmex does. It doesn't cost much and is fairly cheap you put it on the trigger spots of migraines like your temples, inside your wrists. Peppermint oil works great too as does even just sucking on a mint or chewing mint gum ((HUGS)) |

Amanda. I used to keep a journal but it wasn't really much help. My migraines are triggered from many things, not enough sleep, too much sleep, weather, certain foods, stress, just depends really. I'm glad that everything turned out good with your tests....and I hope you can soon get the migraines under control. |

Angi, I figured it was something like that I don't know how it'd work on mine though since mine occur in the back right side of my head, where my hair is.. Possibly could put it on my neck though, and definitely worth trying. Thank you sweety *hugs* |

Paddy, that's one thing I am afraid of , is that too many things trigger them that I wont be able to ever figure out how to completely rid myself of them. I suppose though that when getting used to avoiding what I can I can lessen them. I'll look to see if any of our stores carry A535 too while I look for the tiger balm. Both worth trying if I can find them Thank you hun *hugs* |

any possibility they could be caused by some type of allergy or mold growth somewhere? |

So glad and thankful that your mammogram was normal. I was reading your replies and tiger balm and peppermint oil was mentioned that they might. Another idea is to go and to an herbal store, if you have one where you live, and maybe they could tell you something that would or could help. Maybe the headaches would ease off, but you still need to go to the doctor and let him find out for sure what is causing them. I hope and pray that you can find some relief soon. Please don't be offended by my suggestions, I am trying to think of anything that might help some. I have been having migranes now will soon be 20 yrs. but mine don't last near as long as yours has been, so me and my little brain is trying to help out. Stay strong and get some rest and only update us when you feel like it. Remember that you are in my prayers............... |

Shai, I don't think so.. We did a check, and couldn't find any mold visible. I'm the only one being affected too. It could possibly be an allergy of some sort, but not sure. I thought that was what it was at one point, and took benadryl allergy for it, but didn't seem to help But maybe another allergy medication might be key. At this point I don't know what is triggering them. I hope it's something as simple as allergies though. Thanks hun. *hugs* |

White Fawn, we do have an herbal store. I'll definitely do that when I can get the chance to. Going anywhere, I have to depend on someone to take me because my eyesight is too bad to drive myself. I'm sorry that you are a fellow sufferer of migraines. They are icky things and I don't think you could offend me hun. Plus, I don't offend too very easily. Thank you. *hugs* |

Thank you Callice, Nani, GEF, Assasin, and Blue. I'm hoping the journaling will help me pinpoint if it's something around me causing them. I'm in process of trying to get some medical aid, just waiting for my paperwork for that to get approved or not. If I get that, then maybe the doctor will help me eliminate anything illness/inside wise that is causing them. I do appreciate them giving me the MRI though, so don't get me wrong on them not helping me. They still havent gotten back to me on a second look of the MRI, I've called them 3 times since my ENT visit. Each time they say they are going to pull my chart and call me back. I need patience.. lol. *hugs* Thanks all! |

Hey Amanda, do you keep a food diary? Patrick had/has really horrible migraines and that helped us to determine what his triggers were. Write down the foods you eat...every single one of them...and then also when you get a migraine. When you can tell it's coming on and whatnot. Patrick's triggers ended up being stress and not enough sleep PLUS he needs more iron than most people to so he increased his iron intake with a daily iron supplement. Also, he has to eat a protien snack every 2 to 3 hours. your eyesight is too bad to drive? Are you sure, then that that doesn't have something to do with your migraines? having the wrong glasses prescription is the main cause of headaches and head pain in general. |
