I'm using IE right now, but i need all my favorties from firefox, which is why i need it opened and everything. this is the first time that its ever happened. thanks though  |

Right click your task bar somewhere in an empty space, and in the right click menu click "task manager". Look for firefox.exe in that process list, click it, then click "end process". After that, try starting Firefox.  |

You couldn't pay me to use IE. So many issues with that program. Firefox + Adblock extension + filterset.g is where it's at. |

I just did that and Firefox isn't open in my task menu and i clicked on "run" and typed in "firefox.exe" and the same dialogue box popped up. thanks for trying though |

Odd. I just noticed you also said you restarted. See, any time I've had this issue that's what the problem has been, and that was my solution(the solution I gave). I've not encountered it quite the same way as you have, but I'll see what I can find out about it. |

crtl + alt + delete and cancel the firefox process running in the background, then it will open again.  |
