What To Do with A Single Layer Cake?

  Author:  6915  Category:(General Advice) Created:(7/15/2007 9:36:00 AM)

I have an extra layer from a yellow cake left over. I would like some ideas of what I could do to it to make it taste good. :p Obviously, I can't have any type of filling unless I cut it in 1/2 (and I don't know if I could) Any suggestions?

Date: 7/15/2007 11:17:00 AM  From Authorid: 64365    You could cut it up into squares, and make strawberry shortcakes, or freeze it for future use...HUGS
Date: 7/15/2007 11:42:00 AM  From Authorid: 53961    Cut in half, place halves back to back to resemble a butterfly. Decorate as such with licorice straws for feelers and red hots or other deco for design.

Date: 7/15/2007 2:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 16865    Get banana pudding and make it. RIGHT AFTER it is done, mix it in the cake so you have this yellow mushy gooey stuff. Let it set in cupcake papers in a muffin pan. When set (like not gooshy anymore) squirt whip cream on top, drizzle with chocolate and strawberry syrup and top with nuts and a cherry. Call it a sunday pudding cake. Really yummy!
Date: 7/15/2007 5:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 56630    Mail it over to me and I will mail it back when I am done. I will make it taste good...lol *smiles big* I promise I wont eat it...
Date: 7/16/2007 3:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 52489    Cover it with chocolate frosting, and then sprinkle M&M's on it in the shape of a Happy Face.
