So if you guys read my other post about joining the marines you'll know.

I made it through MEP's(basically a health physical) and was swore in at 1:30pm yesterday. I'm scheduled to ship by august 6th at the earliest which hopefully gives me time to train and get my lungs into shape allowing me to hide a certain condition and make it through boot camp. I scored a 71 on the ASVAB(i was hoping for better) and could pretty much pick whatever I wanted to do.

After boot camp I'll go through MOS School in Florida. I'll be a CH-53 crew cheif following graduation of that.

So far I've come further than I thought I ever would. Now i just have to get into a routine of running and exercising twice a day, quitting smoking and just in general getting used to the life I signed on for. It shouldn't be to hard to get used to because I'm an army brat but we'll see.

I'm thinking of putting my 2 weeks in at work to allow myself more time to get ready. All I can do really is hope and pray God will let me do this.

Date: 7/11/2007 2:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 10245    for your certain condition (asthma, right?)... I found albueterol to be addictive. The more I used it, the more I needed it. My asthma was/is very mild, if it ever really existed at all, but I've had excellent results using Lobilia extract (an herbal) to clear my lungs and help my breathing. Let me know if you want more details... I haven't touched my inhaler in over a year.
Date: 7/11/2007 3:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 53284    You're going to get in better shape than you ever thought possible. I wish I could go in there with you but they don't take people who qualify for senior discounts.

Date: 7/11/2007 8:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 16671    God said he will give us the desires of our heart. You desire this, your working for this, you can do this and with God at your side.
Date: 7/11/2007 8:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 16671    What Merc said about asthma is true. Most the times what the doctors call MY asthma is just allergy induced and so I've been buying these allergy pills at the dollar store. They cost about two bucks and last a month, they are called loridine comparble to clariton but cost much much less and this has helped me more then any inhaler.
Date: 7/11/2007 8:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    I am so proud of you Jestr. We will need an address too there, Buddy. So your USM family can flood you with letters!

Date: 7/11/2007 9:10:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 22080    i actually am on a form of albuterol. my mom and i were discussing my athsma attacks tonight and she brought up how my athsma attacks have been around times when my allergies acted up and once when i walked into a chemical filled garage. i really do hope my asthma is in my head and the reason i need my inhaler is because i think i need it. they say your brain is the most dangerous disease
Date: 7/12/2007 3:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 10245    I use Oil of Oregano to deal with allergy symptoms most of the time. Try some of that, too
Date: 7/12/2007 3:39:00 AM  From Authorid: 42945    Good Luck Jestr, I thought you had already quit smoking lol??
Date: 7/12/2007 6:39:00 AM  From Authorid: 37101    Congratulations. Just continue giving it your all and you'll have no other option than to succeed. -
Date: 7/12/2007 9:46:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 22080    i tried quitting smoking but failed. did my first run with my recruiter today, i made the mistake of eating first and threw up only to have him say "chocolate is not a good breakfast" followed by me saying "it was a chocolate muffin." the best part of it was the last leg of the half mile run he said i can do it and me being me said "i dont know if i can" to which he replied "would i lie to you?" and i think i shocked him when i said "youre a recruiter!"
