Date: 7/4/2007 1:07:00 PM From Authorid: 60792 well they should sell just the glass, cause you also use them for snakes, mice, etc. Goto a pet store and ask for a aquarium for a hamster, not for fish. Also, have you tried walmart? |
Date: 7/4/2007 1:15:00 PM From Authorid: 34663 hamsters don't go into aqauriums, look at reptile aqauriums in the reptile section that is were we keep them at petsmart they have nothing with them just the empty aquarium, when looking in the fish department they are most certainly going to have the works. Most people don't know to check reptile, I know I wouldn't have known that if I didn't work there:P |
Date: 7/4/2007 1:16:00 PM From Authorid: 60792 our hamsters did PBDB, but then...we didn't buy things specially for them :-p |
Date: 7/4/2007 1:18:00 PM From Authorid: 60792 we preferred tanks so that they didn't kick the bedding all over the floor. You can buy tank or wire cage, depends on your preference. Just a tidbit |
Date: 7/4/2007 1:34:00 PM From Authorid: 34663 actualy they have pastic cages for hamsters that don't have wire thats what I like because you can put all the tubes for them to crawl through but yeah your at our store they are in glass cages what I ment was that aquariums arn't specialy made for hamsters and if she asked for a hamster aquariums the clerck would just show her all the hamster cages she needs to ask were the repile aquariums are they are the same thing the fish are put in just without the works |
Date: 7/4/2007 1:35:00 PM From Authorid: 34663 just make sure when buying it you are buying that will hold water some are made just for reptiles and wont hold water but most of them are just fish aquariums. |

I've got like 4 tanks in my garage hehe. You might be able to find people like me who just don't use them anymore that might be selling them at garage sales. Thats where we found most of ours and got them really cheap. Though if you do find one at a garage sale make sure it hold water if you were going to use it for an aquarium cause sometimes the seals break or in my case got chewed up by some hampsters. |
Date: 7/4/2007 11:22:00 PM From Authorid: 60992 Craigslist you can easily them easily. |

ohh yeah.. if you ever do want fish in that tank lol make sure it's sealed.. IF you do make a post out there make sure to say seal or unsealed it doesn't matter. |
Date: 7/5/2007 8:51:00 AM From Authorid: 52489 Craigslist or Ebay if you need one right away. If you're not in a hurry, hit a few garage sales. I do the garage sale circuit regularly, and I'm *always* seeing aquariums for sale for a buck or so. A lot of people just give them away because they're usually hard to unload. |
