*Callice (64497) ***My mom has been dealing with pain for about 3 years now, and has had 4 surgeries dealing with a crushed vertebrae, and 2 other back surgeries, and just recently a surgery having to do with her foot. She is also putting her health even more at risk because she has diabetes and she still gets up in the middle of the night and eats sweet stuff. She's been on painkillers since before her first surgery, which was 3 years ago. I know this isn't something most people want to even acknowledge, but I personally think she's become addicted to them.***** please pray she will ace through her finals this week*** please pray for her family & her cousins family, she died from an overdose, they don't know if its suicide or accidental. *Casey Girlie (22188).***********update**********they took the extra tubes out, the trachea & feeding tube are the only ones still in, she is out of quarentine & over the infection but is still unconcious... she still needs our prayers.... A close friend of mine and his family are having quite a hard time. His cousin, who is only 14, has suffered what doctors believe to be a brain aneurysm over the weekend. Blood and other fluids on her brain, however, have prevented doctors from being able to read the tests properly to be sure of the true cause. She has been unresponsive since Saturday morning, and today the have induced a coma due to her weakened state (she has some bruising on her heart and is having respiratory difficulties), and after resting for a couple of days, they are going to try to perform surgery later this week. Please keep this young lady and her family in your prayers--they certainly need it

I would be the 6th one in my program's history (at my school) to not pass...I don't want THAT to happen! Thats not even the worst part...I don't want to fail because the test is REALLY expensive to register for and I would have to pay to take it again and I can't afford that!

*Gothic Witch (18929) Okay I feel really weird asking for prayers for a cat but I do love her and she IS sick. Yesterday she didn't eat or come to greet my dad when he came home from work. That was sort of weird but I didn't think anything of it. I mean I have a cold and I was fine, maybe she would get better. Then she threw up. Still kind of normal. But she STILL wasn't eating. She always eats something. Then she was barely moving and her belly was all wet. Which I found out later it was her cleaning herself. Sort of. She also had a fever of 105!!! A kitty dies at a fever of 105.8!!!! But they brought it down and she ate. She's feeling better after going to the vet and might be better soon.

* Hey, Hey Paula (53961) *** Two year old Luke Sulley, who lives in Iowa, was born with a congenital heart defect. Just before Thanksgiving, Luke received a heart transplant in St. Louis. Luke has now developed acute heart rejection and needs our faith and prayers in his behalf. Our local Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has asked that the area members participate in a area-wide fast for Luke and his family this Sunday, December 7, 2008. We would appreciate it if you would join us. Minutes after I posted the above, I received the following... Today has been a very busy and eventful day. Luke was transferred to the CICU so they could get the plasma pheresis cath in to start treatments. They decided to do it in the room rather than go to the OR. When they gave the medicine to put him out, he coded. His heart didn't actually stop but they did do CPR. He is very sick but they feel with plasma pheresis that this rejection can be reversed and he can get better. He almost had to go on echmo and they keep it in his room just in case. This is not good but we still have hope. ** ** she is having a defibrallator/ pacemaker put in, please pray that everything goes well & she is good as new...*** Please pray for everyone in the midwest who is experencing flooding. It turns out those little welts were MRSA a staph infection. I had to call an abulance for them to come get mom. My mom has copd and she wasn't getting enough oxygen. This time she was transported to a bigger hospital and is know in icu. She has a resperator breathing for her and while they were putting it in they nicked her lung and colapsed it. From what the dr's have told us that she will have to have a lung transplant and the state will pay for it. ***Please pray that she will find a job & that she can put her past mistakes behind her & be able to move on with her life.*********Icy is still looking for a job & thanks everyone for the love & prayers & she will continue her quest!!!

She was driving while she had it, and to top it off she was driving on the highway. She crossed over the middle and into oncoming traffic. A box truck and a land rover met her drivers side. She had to have her spleen removed, she has a colapsed lung, and a broken pelvis. She's awake, but wont be able to walk for some time.

He is a diabetic and has a hard time with his sugars, he has a horrible infection in his legs because of that. This is the 3rd or 4th time since September he has been in the hospital for the same thing. So if you can please pray that he will heal completely this time. It's really dangerous for a diabetic and if it gets really bad he could lose his legs it's not at that point thankfully and we hope and pray it doesn't get down to that. We don't know when he will get to come home.

*Mercury (10245)*** update*** he was doing great up through Saturday night. today, he's not doing well. he started hallucinating yesterday. he doesn't know where he is, he's picking at his incision, pulling out IVs... it's reminding mom of when dad went through detox. One of the nurses asked her if he had been drinking recently because it's very much like withdrawal symptoms; she also realized that it made no sense because they wouldn't have done the transplant if he had. (he hasn't had a drink since 1984.) As of right now, things don't look good at all. The transplant surgeon says he's great from the neck down, but his brain is all messed up. He said he's 98% sure that this is reversible, but since he's not a psychiatrist or neurologist he doesn't know for sure. so until one of those takes an evaluation and run some tests, we don't know much. The thing that scares me most: the surgeon gave mom a big hug and surgeons aren't known to do that kind of human-type thing. *Peacelover (63725) Today I had a colonoscopy because I have had about 6-7 bouts of diverticulitis in the last year and was most recently hospitalized with it in October. That was the worse bout ever. I got my preliminary reults and have to wait for the biopsy results for 4-5 days. They showed me 4 pictures of various stages of the test. On on picture there is a rather large looking red area which looks like a growth. That is what they are testing. The doctor said I need surgery but need to lose weight first. They didn't say how much and I don't remember the conversation with the doctor since I was on that no memory anesthesia. I'm sure my regular doctor will fill me in. I know I have weight to lose and have lost some already. I need prayers that I stay strong in my weight loss and exercise program. At least that is something I can do something about. Also prayers for the wisdom of the doctors and the miracles of angels.

*Priscilla (63121) *** I just moved back to my home province and well... I'm broke! LOL! I'm not sure if it would be good to get a job now... I'm afraid of getting hired for the holiday season and then let go in January. That's the way it seems to work. Please pray that I find a good job that I can keep for a looooong time. :) Pretty please also pray that my house in the other town sells. Once it sells my family can move down and my dad can get the job that he has been promised for 4 years. I really want my family to be safe... the other town is very violent and all together bad news. ****I've been sick on and off for a long time. It just started getting worse this year. I've ignored it because it always went away. It was always pain in my right side and was getting very sick. Not my appendix. In September I went to the hospital 3 times and they didn't do much for me. (The are kind of rude there in my town). I went to my doc and he was able to tell me what it isn't but there wasn't much time to look into it further. And now I'm moving back to my home province. This is where it gets complicated. This week I started to feel alot of pain in my right side and now it's in my back too. I'm getting really bad headaches and fevers. I've been getting sick all throughout every day and night. I've lost so much weight and I'm already underweight. I'm not getting any better.

*Purple Dragon (63572) I've been having abdominal pains for about 3 weeks now and had been to the e.r. twice before but went again on Monday night and underwent more tests but at least they were able to find out why I was hurting this time. I had many gallstones with one the size of a walnut so I was admitted until the surgeon could examine me and decide what to do about it. I had surgery about midnight central time last night and was able to come home today around 3pm and am currently staying with my mom for a little bit until I can manage on my own without a bunch of pain.

*Rachel Rae (57640)I took my mom to the ER. She said she felt really anxious. She was having shortness in breath and a sharp deep pain from her shoulder across her neck and into her chest. She has been having a lot pain there lately, and I just found out that she had recently found out that she has a tumor in her shoulder about the size of a quarter. The doctor thinks it's benign but they are running some tests just to make sure it isn't cancer.

* Sassy Girl (12862)*******well, my 12 yr old step daughter has been causing alot of problems here at home and school. the past 3 months she has gotten worse. she has ODD and ADHD plus depression. she was in a bad situation years back with her mom while dad was OTR trucking. mom physically and mentally abused her and when the state stepped in and took her to a foster home, she got molested in the foster home by another person. then DHS covered it up. they wouldn't talk about what had happened. to this day we still don't know what all happened. my step daughter was to young to remember. her dad has full custody of her and her siblings but mom does see them once or twice a year. she also talks to them on the phone. she does nothing but mind games with these kids. she also moved to Mexico cause she got married to an illegel alien while he was here. she just came back and had to go to prison for awhile because she broke her probation leaving the country. in the meantime my step daughter has gotten worse and worse. lying, stealing, lack of respect, lack of responsibility, mouthy, talking back, swearing, destroying things, doesn't do as she is told nor does her chores, you name...well come tuesday night after school she didn't come home on the bus, so i called school. they didn't know where she was. 30 minutes later the principal called me back saying she went home with a classmate. in otherwords, she ran away. i called this friends house and alls she did was hang up on me. just before she hung up i told her to tell me where to pick her up or the cops will come get her. so after she hung up i called the police and they picked her up. while at the police station they found out she was cutting herself on her upper leg. so then we had to make a decision right there to have her committed to a mental hospital. we were at the police for 5 hours trying to find one with an open bed. so many where filled cause it just so happened to be a full moon! finally found one around 9:00 pm. sign a bunch of papers with the county attorney and away she went. i've been trying to get her some help for awhile now cause i'm so stressed out and couldn't deal with her any longer but dad wouldn't sign any papers. it was tearing this family apart. well now she is getting the help she desperately needed. everything else failed so now she is getting inpatient treatment for her bad behavior. these past few months she has been trying to break me and her dad up cause her mom puts crap in her head like telling her she wanted her dad back. plus daddy use to baby her all the time and he stopped doing that. she didn't like that daddy woudn't give in to her anymore. she is only 12 but thinks she is 16 and acts like a 4 yr old. doing 4 yr old things like taking markers apart, writing on herself, breaking things, talking like a baby, crying like a baby, temper tantums, and so on. i'm majorly stressed out from her since i had her most of the time. her sister was starting to act like her. now we can focus on the 11 yr old twins' behavior problems. they aren't as bad but need lots of still. plus i can have more free time to spend with my 17 yr old son. so with this i ask for prayers that we can get this family back to being a family again. i almost had to break up our 6 yr relationship that i put so much love, time, and heart into.*** please pray for peace, healing & comfort for her & her family in the passing of her father... *** please pray for her dad, he is down to 120 lbs, he won't eat & they don't think he has much time left, please pray that he is not suffering & for peace & comfort for him & his family.**** please pray for her dad who is back in the hospital with his cancer & they have found a spot on his liver, he is not eating, plaes pray for a full recovery. ****update***** please pray for Sassy's health issues, her dad is diagnosed with cancer so please pray for him. I want to thank god, for nudging me to try and get in cotact, and pray that he can somehow, for my dad, reconnect my brother into our lives. ** A friend of mine from church wants prayers for someone he knows... his best friends, other best friend killed herself. She was 16. I can only imagine how much pain they are in, and his friend is really needing to know Jesus, so please keep his friend, and his friends family in mind, for them, and for him. ***I have a 14 year old friend who has been going through SOOOO much lately and I have been really worried about her. *USM Wolf (52546) In November my mother was dignosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). According to the doctors around here she is in the last stage and has been taken to the hospital 4 times since she was diagnosed. According to what the doctors at the hospital have said that her body isn't getting the oxygen needed and has been put on oxygen. She has lost a great deal of weight and can't seem to put it on. When she left the hospital the last time she weighted 84lb and when we had to readmit her yesterday she only weighted 80. She is eatting 4 or 5 times a day and can't seem to gain weight. Im asking all of USM to keep me and my family in your prayers and thoughts. ****updated**** please pray for her & her family in the passing of her grandfather.. Please pray for strength, peace & guidance during this time. ****This morning at 7:30 AM. A good friend died from massive head and neck injurys. He had just had deep brain stimulation surgury to help with his parkinsons. I'm asking all of usm to help me and my family pray that his family will be safe and help with the pain of his passing.
