Herbal Blessing ~*~Ranger~*~

Herbs have been used for centuries by folk for healing, cooking and of course Majick. My grandmother grew all her own herbs and she was always making medicine for the sick. Herbs are very easy to grow and you don't need a lot of space to have a nice Herb garden. You can even buy a one or two "Window Boxes" which will produce a nice quantity of Herbs.

Here's how to receive a "Basil Blessing". Wash three stems of basil and tie them together. The little bundle will be your wand. Face the east while holding your wand in your right hand. Shake it gently while you move clockwise around your kitchen.

As you move say this charm:

Bless the pantry and every pot. Bless the oven that cooks my food and keep it hot. Bless every appliance,cabnet and drawer. Bless this my kitchen, for ever more.

Hang the basil to dry, then use it as needed in your recipes to bless your food.

You could also sprinkle the dry basil in the corners of your kitchen repeating the blessing.

Now, be good kitchen witches and go plant some basil! :)
