Folk have burned Candles throughout the ages. Candles are an important part of our everyday life and almost every household contain candles. One would think with the advent of electricity we would no longer need the simple candle.
The Candle holds power in which it absorbs life energy from the lives of the people who use them. Candles have been used for religious reason, practicing majick and for improving the atmosphere of the home both visually and aromatically. We even use candles to remember those who have passed away.
Yes, the simple candle in your home holds much power and if you have ever lite at candle to change the mood of a room then you have practiced majick.
If I get home and know my wife has had a bad day work I make sure candles are lite and awaiting her presences. Not only will the flame burn up all that negative energy, but the sweet smell and visual effect will soften her mood. A home is much more inviting with a sweet aroma and the soft glow of candle lite.
So, today practice a little candle majick in your home and watch the effects it has on family members and visitors alike.
When you lite a candle and the flame points towards the north, it represents worldly things such as money and the home. If it points towards the east it could indicate the realm of Intelligence or learning. To the west, the realm of emotion and relationships. To the south, movement, strength.
Of course the little candle which effects so many of our daily lives really contains no majick or supernatural power. But it is a vehicle by which the power from within our being can manifest itself, to cast the light that we should not stumble in the darkness.
