There's this poem that I've had stuck in my head for decades.
I read it in high school and never forgot it. I did however forget the author and the book I found it in.
I've done searches on the web and the only evidence of it I've found is from someone who claimed to have written it sometime within the last 5 years or so. I happen to know that was blatant plagiarism.
I'd really like to know who the author is and since I'm not having any luck flying solo, and the evidence I did find before came through an inquiry on USM, I thought I'd try to pick your brains again.
I imagine if you write it, you might read it, too :o)
So here it is:
In the tiny shards of glass, The broken mirror of my past, I see a piece of love and life Opposing pain and death and strife.
And with this spread before my eyes, I soon begin to realize, That death is part of life. And peace relates to strife. But worst of all, I see in vein, That part of precious love is pain.
Any clues?
Thank you in advance for any and all thoughts that might help me solve my little mystery :o)
