Why not have sort of an open house?? Most people won't sit through the ceremony as you say, but they'll show up for the party. Just get invitations at any store and give a starting time and ending time of your party...and by the way, congratulations on your graduation! |

I would say something like "Since seats are limited at the actual graduation, please be my guest at the reception afterwards" Love and Light and Congratulations |

The only reason i wanted to make a real announcement is because I have sentimental family members that like to hold on to stuff like that. I am the first person to graduate college from my moms family. |

Congrats Diz! I'm graduating in Aug. but I'm not doing the invitation. Why not just make the invitations for the reception rather than the ceremony itself? |

I may do what sandghost and kelly suggested and make invitations for the reception-- I may still make announcements for a few family members (parents, grandparents) because they love that stuff, ya know? |

Great news! Hello, Dizzy Me. Congratulations are certainly in order. "Come if you can. Come if you want. Come to the reception and we'll "kill a pint." Right on, lady! |

just like in high school send an announcement and then a separate card (in the same envelope) that invites them to celebrate your milestone Congrats! |
