I really like this topic. My friend in Morocco, Africa says that the women should not date. I know some do date in Morocco, but the norm is to not date. I was told if you kiss in public you will go to jail. |

In Costa Rica it depends on who it is, you will kiss them on the first date, guys are the ones that ask girls out or to date if a girl does it ( its not lady-like) Guys can have as many girlfriens as they want before getting marry but if you are a girl and have more than 3 boyfriends before getting married you might be in trouble.... |

Guys can have as many girlfriends as they like? That's unfair to the other guys--that leaves less girlfriends. |

I don't think that meant at one time... I'm thinking he doesn't earn a "reputation" no matter how much he's been around, but the same old double standard lives on... |

i think the older way of dating as our grandparents did was the proper way it should be done. they called it courting. where are all the guys that are gentleman? if anyone knows please tell me lol....most are out for one thing and once given i would wonder what they keep coming back for so i believe in not giving it at all and that way i know! a kiss on a second date would be more ideal! |

I don't know about how other cultures are. I do remember seeing the movie "Good morning Vietnam" and the main guy went on a day-date with a girl and her entire family followed them. To me that'd be annoying but who knows...if it was my culture, it may not bother me. Interesting post! |

I think dating in Mexico is very similar to US customs. Most people start dating for a while, to know each other, and when they are sure they really like each other, they can meet the family. There is no age in dating, it mostly depends on the family. |
