'Hispanics' portrayed accurately on TV?

I used to love these shows and jokes, and i know each place/country is different. but i look at 'George Lopez' and this show made me think - the 'hispanics' i know aren't that mean to each other, but i know he grew up in a bad home. I've noticed this w/other shows, but in real life they are the Nicest people, but that's not how they are portrayed, anyone else notice this?

Date: 3/23/2007 8:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 47218    I think of George Lopez as respresentative of A hispanic family, not ALL hispanic families. All families are different. I wouldn't make a generalization of all families of a particular race being "really nice" or "really mean" or...whatever...

Date: 3/24/2007 1:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 14464    I wouldn't say hispanics are the nicest people, but that the ones you know are. Not all hispanics are nice just like not all of any other race are nice. It just depends on the person you come across. Also I think George Lopez just uses his life and the people he grew up around.
