Beware the scientologists  ! They own the town. But I went to that beach and I never encountered any. I guess if u avoid downtown and just stick to the tourist stuff your good. If I were you Id go for St Augustine its so pretty! Im going to Tarpon Springs next week...I think that'll be pretty cool.  |

I love St.Augustine but unfortunatly my friends didn't want to go there. :0( We'll be by the beach so I guess we'll be alright...I heard about the scientologists..LoL  |

I lived in Tampa for about 6 years, as my ex husband is from there, and we used to go to Clearwater and St. Petersburg all the time. There's lots to do there. It's not just old people or snow bunnies, there's lots of young people, too. Well, there was when I was there. Anyway, there are some really pretty beaches, and there's the Gandy Bridge, the Ben Franklin Causeway, lots of Seafood Restaurants, a kickin' night life, and there are also local attractions.  |

My husbands uncle and grandfather lives in Largo and we went there not to long ago and it was absolutely beautiful. I would move to that area in a heartbeat. We went over this huge bridge and it was just beautiful and you could look out into the water and see dolphins jumping. I feel in love right there. Then we went to this restaurant that was right on the beach...very cool.  |
