Hiya all :D

Sadly, no I didn't get a tattoo myself, but my husband Nakoma did. :D He's been wanting this for a long time, and I told him once we got our income tax this year he could get one if the price is good. :) The reason I am posting this, is because it was all my design, well except for the tribal, that was done by the tattooist and the person that had to clean up the sketch I did... Other than that, the design was mostly my creation, which makes it uber cool to me. :D

He wanted the Tattoo to cover-up an old DYI tattoo that he did when he was 16 and was into Master P./Tupac, which he has regretted for as long as I've known him.

Anyways, to the point.. I don't have a good before picture, because Nakoma was never fond of showing his DYI tat in pictures, and we didn't think to take one before we left today. I do have one picture that you can see a very small part of it though :D

Here it is what little before picture we do have, I highlighted it with a red box:

And the following is His brand new, beautiful tattoo:

Here it is in the best front view that I could get while Nakoma was laying down. :) (He had a headache)

And here are the side views :):

This inside arm tribal work :)

The outside arm tribal work :)

Just in case the pictures don't show it all, it is a dream catcher with a wolf's head in the middle of it.. Above it says "Mom" and has an arrow head/spear with a tear drop... The sides are tribal, the bottom has 1954 -1997 and his mom's nickname of BB. Hubby was definitely a trooper, didnt groan or make hardly any noices during it.. Did a few interesting faces though.. ROFLMAO!

And there it is, my hubby's new tattoo, mostly designed by me. :) His tattooist did an AMAZING job. So if Rich happens to stumble upon this post.. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Thank you all for reading! :) And yea, I might sometime soon get one myself, just havent decided what to get for myself. :D

*hugs all*

~Amanda~

Date: 1/29/2007 11:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    I have a couple tats in mind that I've been wanting to get. I would like to get something that had to do with a pisces symbol, with the two fishes....A celestial arm band, A black rose, Another Dragon, and a goth/punk/rock looking My Little Pony. Right now, I have a small dragon on my left arm and a celestial symbol on my right arm.
Date: 1/29/2007 11:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    People snicker at me every time I say I want a My Little Pony tat, it's only because it was my favorite toy as a child and my mom got rid of them. So then I started collecting them so it has a real meaning for me. I own several hundreds of them now.
Date: 1/29/2007 11:09:00 PM  ( SD-Admin )   Wel I like it.
Date: 1/29/2007 11:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 7830    wow thats quite impressive! Im glad you clarified the BB part...I thought ti said Bob! lol

Date: 1/29/2007 11:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28190    Thank you all I was suprised how they took my sketch and made it into such a beautiful piece of artwork. I even asked the tatooist, how one would go about becoming a tattoo artist He said I had potiential.. hehe So, if all else fails, I might end up doing that.. *hugs*
Date: 1/29/2007 11:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 35720    It's beautiful!
Date: 1/29/2007 11:39:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28190    Christina, at the place I went, they had some awesome zodiac pictures And plenty of all the other things. I don't know if I saw my little pony or not, but I wouldn't snicker at that... The guy that tattooed Nakoma had a booklet of his tats and I only snickered at one.. It was of a monkey (curious george style) mooning, and it was placed on the guy's belly button.. which made it look even funnier.. rofl! I think a My Little pony tat would be cute And who cares if someone laughs, it means something to you! hehe *hugs*
Date: 1/29/2007 11:42:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28190    Thanks Rika He keeps looking at it.. I think he's awestruck by it hehe *hugs*
Date: 1/29/2007 11:42:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28190    Roflmao, Nope.. Shai, not Bob.. hehe.. BB is something that they called Nakoma's mother.. It stands for Brenda Baby.. because she was the youngest of the siblings.. It definitely makes a good tribute/memorial tattoo *hugs*

Date: 1/30/2007 12:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 16061    Interesting design. Heard they can itch for a while.

Date: 1/31/2007 4:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 56489    Amanda I believe you missed your calling, having an idea, drawing and putting it on paper to actually look like somthing is an art. Get moving on that career.
Date: 1/31/2007 5:08:00 AM  From Authorid: 64365    That is one beautiful, Tattoo, Korngurl. I love dream catchers and wolves. You are a really good artist. Thank you for sharing. HUGS
Date: 1/31/2007 9:34:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28190    Thank you Nani.. I'd love to be able to make dream catchers, but those things are so hard.. So, I settled with drawing them.. hehe *huge hugs*
Date: 1/31/2007 9:34:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28190    Aww, thanks, Aimless Most the credit for this beautiful piece goes to the tattoo artist, he took my design and improved on it.. Especially with the colors hehe.. Hubby loves it, it means double for him. In memory of his mom, and a special design that his wife made for him. I didn't get to meet his mother, but wanted to make something super special for him, to remember her. And found out that she loved wolves.. That's where the wolf comes in at and she was full blooded Cherokee Indian too, so that's where the arrow head came in.. And lastly, she made dreamcatchers for a living, so I of course added that. Nakoma says she would have really really loved it. I hope so *hugs*
Date: 2/1/2007 12:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 18516    Very cool, I like it. I don't think I could sit still for 4 hours lol. I'm such a wuss when it comes to needles.
Date: 2/3/2007 9:11:00 AM  From Authorid: 30229    It looks really great on him... Of course, being the mom-in-law, I am too old for TATS... but his is really GREAT!!!
Date: 2/3/2007 9:43:00 AM  From Authorid: 10245    beautiful I'm impressed that he did it all in one sitting. What a man!
Date: 4/22/2007 10:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 63575    awesome tattoo, very nice
