The Desert of Her..................................Sage

Like a banshee the silvery moon witnesses her hurt cries into the fog,

Noone listens..

Physically and mentally in pain and tired,

She lays down and melts into the hard ground...

They are turned away...Their faces look not upon her,

She is gone from them...He is gone...

At loss as what to do to make her stance known...

Heavy limbs brush crumbs of the grave dirt further

into the coffin of her spirit...

Breathing becomes impossible,

Teaspoons of it turn into shovels of heaviness

lying and repressing the rise and fall of the life

that cried out to be heard, to be felt, to be understood...

Praising the world and worshipping in the Son...

Dancing in moonlight and rising to meet what she

thought she was doing right...

She wasnt...so it seems? What is right?

A pinprick of light beams somewhere

like a Hollywood showstopper, but it flashes

and goes away and she stumbles...

So many feelings, so many dances in the shadows,

tapping as hard as she could to get noticed,

Impeccable rhythm but the beat has a hidden strain...

Prayers and promises fall to the unseen corners where

nothing is retrieved, in the pathway of tears unnoticed...

Love is the refreshment, but her throat remains dry...

Tasting and teasing her, but the day blows dry and away

like the desert...

Parched...

Lethargic....

Misunderstood.

Empty....
