I dont know what it takes to be a model. Its nothing that has ever interested me as a career but I do prefer the chunkier model than the skinny anorexic looking one. |

Do a search in Yahoo for how to become a model and a million sites come up. I was going to post a few but there were alot. Do some research on it. I think the main thing is confidence. Thats what sells it. Don't be overly confident though where it makes you come off as rude and smug but confident enough where you feel secure about yourself. What america's top model..lol |

I actually looked into it and went to an agency. I was accepted but they wanted a buttload of money and I turned it down. It seems you have to be extremely thin and flawless to be a model but I'd like to see real people, different sizes, different looks. |

my grandaughter is a model , from what i have seen most get picked on there attitude and presence, smile and go for it.. if they ask for money for a portfolio you are at the wrong agency. if they are a reputable place they will pick up the expenses. wooden nickel |

It's how you pose for the photos that counts. You need to be abble to give a cirtain "look" that the fashion desighner is looking for. |

It really depends. Depends on what people are looking for to represent there products. Then ussually a model will get a start and move on from there, getting new jobs. You have to have a good agency that finds you jobs. |

I'm thinking that since you are a woman, you need to appear attractive to other women. I mean, who is going to buy the stuff that is modeled, eh? Hot, but with that "girl next door" look. Confident; Everyone loves confidence, right? Right. Find a "reputable" agency and give it a shot, Shimmerkiss. Best wishes to you, lady. Write on....... |

Haven't you ever watched "Top Model"...lol. Seriously, I'd say, in general-- tall, very thin, long legs, strong, concentric facial features, good at striking interesting poses, a nice portfolio, a good work ethic, connections, ambition and a unique "look." Outside that, there's different types of modeling, from what I've heard. For example, maybe for a local company you don't have to be so tall and thin. |

To be a model..be skin and bones..thats all ya need!! LoL. Some are pretty and some aren't. I think really they go mostly on their height and weight. Everything else they can fix with makeup. That's just my opinion. |

WIsh I could tell you, I honestly can't figure out why half the girls I see on covers make it over other ones. I swear its a whole other mindset in that world because women I see who I think are beautiful would be spit out by the 'pros' |

Actually I think you only need to have what someone else is looking for. Could be anything. I've been asked to be a model by several people. Most stated 'they liked my look'.. |
