The Story of a Girl... ~~Distraught~~

There once was a girl. She was normal. She was in love, but one day, she decided to run. She ran so fast that no one noticed. Little notes and hair strands were left behind. Her voice was on the recording of the phone. Her drawings still hung in her room.

Just as everyone forgot about her, just as everyone threw out the notes of hers, she was back. She was the same. No one knew what she had seen, what she had done. Almost like an image, she stood in the doorway. Her clothes were tattered, her nails were dirty. From head to toe, she was covered in soot. Yet, her eyes were still the same.

She blinked and smiled at me. A slight smile, no teeth showed. She walked to her room, as I sat. I heard her rummage through her old belongings, possibly looking for the notes. She would never find them, she knew that. Yet, she still looked. As she finished, she sat on the couch next to me.

She smiled slightly again, and leaned her head on my shoulder. I moved from her. I loved her at one point, but she just ran.

She wanted everything to be the same. She wanted everything that we had once. As she moved closer, I moved further.

So one night, when the moon was high, I looked at her in the bed, looked at her soft hair embracing her face. And well, I ran.

I ran up the hill, past the town, into no where. I was no where. No where to be found. The stars light my path, as I followed the river of regret. The moon hung low, as I searched for shelter to escape my like, my soul, my memories of her. Just like those little notes, I was gone.

I was gone.....
