Teachers are overpaid? Derek, our elected officials are overpaid. And if just half of the many BILLIONS spent on this dang Bush's war were instead sunk into our countries educational system then our children MIGHT just have a future. Our country and its future depends upon the quality of education the children receive. Teachers are very much underpaid.  |

If our kids don't have an education, if they can't get anykind of quality education, it is not the tax-payers fault, it is not the goverments fault(I guess some of it is), it is not the parents fault, it is the fault of the teachers. If our teachers would spend as much time in the class rooms educating our kids, as they do making demands and crying to the union, then yes our children might have a future. Teachers make demands that are too much for the tax-payers, if the school board don't give in, they will strike, (even if state law does not allow teachers to strike) These teachers claim it is that they don't get enough money. Two things, they get enough money, and number 2, if they cannot do their jobs with the salary they have now, then they will not be able to do it with a higher salary. |
