So I took that step and applied to Evergreen. Needless to say, this caused a nice big fight in my house last night. (If you read my last post, you'll know what I mean.)
But I don't care. This is about what I want, as well as my future. Yes, I understand Evergreen is far from home, all the way on the other side of the country, and that it will be an expense to pay, but I'm prepared for that. I know I'll probably go into debt from loans and whatnot, but I am prepared to deal with this, because I know in the long run I'll be happy. I definitely plan on getting a job on the weekends while at school, to help pay off loans and for my trips home on the holidays and whenever.
I just really hope I get accepted. My grades were never the best in high school, so I'm a bit worried about that. But for now, I'm crossing my fingers and wishing for the best. Once I get that acceptance letter (I'm praying!) then I'll deal with the next step, and hopefully my family will come to terms with my decision.
