My Colourful Family Tree.........LadyLuck

Good morning USM

Yesterday I was wandering through google and decided to do a geneology search on my family as I was bored and looking for something to do. I found some interesting things for sure!

I came across a Website that showed my Father's family from both sides. On my Grandfather's side it goes all the way back to Ireland, which I already knew my descendants came from Ireland. What I found interesting was the information on my Father who passed away in 2000. According to this information my Father had three wives..I only knew of two. It stated Spouse one: Unknown. Spouse Two: Unknown Married: 1966, Spouse three: Unknown Married 1978. Ok, the one in 1966 was my Mother, and the one in 1978 was my Half Sister's Mother. I had no clue who number one was..so I emailed the contact of the website.

I received a reply back this morning. According to him, the third person is the person my father was with at death, but he was never married to her. He has asked that I help him with any information I have and I agreed. He is going to send me the link to his EBook with passwords so that I can see those in my family that are still living. (The website only shows those who have passed on).

I am very curious to see the twists and turns my family has taken over the years and to see who I am related to that I may not have known about. I know my Father led a very colourful life and had other children that we did not know about until after his death. I am hoping their names are there as well.

Oh well, I guess I should be glad that my family tree has a few branches that are all astray. Makes for an interesting story..LOL

Turns out we are descended from migrant Acadian fisher-people. No wonder I'm always trying to "catch' something. . Thanks for sharing with us, lady. Write on.....
Date: 11/5/2006 7:32:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 33925    Hi Kronk. I am anxious to see what else this person has about my family. I knew that I was descended from Ireland on my Grandfather's side. I am curious to see where my Grandmother's family came from.
Date: 11/5/2006 7:43:00 AM  From Authorid: 53961    I LOVE genealogy! I too have Irish ancestry on my mother's side. Guess you can't get much more Irish than my Great Grandmother Mary Martha Ursula O'Bryan! I haven't researched that line much, but also was helped by another. It's great when we all work together. I just always make sure I have proof anymore. Too many "he said/she saids! Have fun climbing the trees looking for squirrels and nuts, as we say! lol!

Date: 11/5/2006 9:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 61966    That's very interesting Lady Luck! Through geneology my grandmother found out she had a half sister..her father was married before her mother. This was kind of a family secret because only one other person (my grandmas fathers sister). So anyway, I got to meet my half great aunt, lol! Geneology is great!

Date: 11/5/2006 7:05:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 33925    I hear ya Sk8r..It's wierd that I am learning about my family from the net, but my Grandparents have passed on and they would have been the ones to fill me in on my heritage. I don't think the rest of my family has an interest in this stuff. I know my Grandmother did and I guess she passed it on to me because I find this fascinating!
Date: 11/5/2006 8:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 63114    Ooh, the things you can find on the Internet these days. Good luck with your search, Kelly! Keep us posted! *HUGS*
