I witnessed seven people fall in love
with high blood pressure, it lead to a time bomb,
to falling down with your eyes
open, focused on a landing spot.

they twist into limp muscle and smile at the large X,

like I could swallow bullets like H2O, or get screwed up
in nightclubs, I could inhale a whole birthday cake,
spit it out with violence and hate
or run down country roads at 2am, screaming, wearing only
black hot pants.
