its internal increments incessantly increasing
the sharp-eyed slant of suburbs
screaming violence
voiced tenor and terror
in such equal
unreasonable measure
they set the earth to shaking
in between breaths
so sensitive
spinning unsuspected
(as you unfold this mystery
and place it in your pocket)
onward angel
while the buildings make way
the stars decline in single file
sipping atmosphere
singing
hung from the first rung
atom and eve divide snake-shapes from ape & self
shared bones longing to blend
their sons still shining bright in mourning
half right or half awake
some determined stumbling savior
scribbles the same desperate deal with refracted light
only to reign
