An austrian girl was able to escape from her kidnapper who took her on her way to school 8 years ago.
All this time she was held in the basement of his house which was 'secured' with several doors and hatches.
She was able to get away from him during a ride in his car. Neighbours saw her jumping from the car and called the police. She had her travellers pass with her and DNA tests have confirmed her to be the missing girl.
People can't believe it. This is the first time it ever happened that a girl that was gone for so long was found back alive.
Her kidnapper threw himself in front of a train after she got away and was killed instantly.
