Yep, 29 years ago today, the King died on the throne (allegedly). Somber day in American Music. Elvis might be the most recoginized name in pop culture around the world, even 29 years later. If only we could leave a legacy that long! Any thougts, recollections? Some people believe the man is still alive...

oh, and my favorite Elvis song has to be "Suspicious Minds"

Date: 8/16/2006 6:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 63449    No one wanted him to "grow old"...Wonder if women would still be swooning after him if he were still with us? Oh and Suspicious Minds was his best song, I agree...

Date: 8/16/2006 6:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 12709    I grew up on him, my dad loves him. The song "Don't Cry Daddy" that he did used to make me cry when I was little. LOL.. The only thing he did that I really don't like is the gospel music, haha.

Date: 8/20/2006 9:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 55967    I've always said, if he faked his death and lives on, and if I ever saw him and knew it was him, I would need to ask, "why did you pick the place you did to stage your death?!" That's got to be the least flattering place to die in. I believe he died there.
Date: 9/30/2006 8:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 56489    Mine too.
