The store keeper asks the oy how much he had and let him pay for them with the money he had which was only a few pennies. Its soo sad.  |

For me, it's probably (from the top of my head) would be Seasons in the Sun, sung by Ray Connif. Many artists sang it, but this is the most popular one. I can't recall too many songs like this since I never tried to remember many, but this is a sad one I remember since I was a kid.  |

I must say, there is one line in "Seasons in the Sun" that REALLY gets me. The singer is saying goodbye to people in his life because he is going to die. The last person is his little daughter, Michele. In the chorus, he says "we had joy, we had fun, but the stars we could reach were only starfish on the beach." That line is powerful to me, personally.  |
