This was a general question put to me in an interview?

How do you organize? I don't know because I have to know what I am organizing.

I think the question is How do you begin?

Anyway how do you begin with a pile in front of you, besides not loosing your file don't pile book in it :)

Date: 7/11/2006 11:47:00 AM  From Authorid: 63209    Well, for the things I own, I put things that have the same general purpose in each of its own pile. Then I find drawers for the rest. Boring way, yes, I know.
Date: 7/11/2006 11:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 28848    Separate the items into catagories or related groups. For example, a keep pile and a throw away pile.
Date: 7/11/2006 11:51:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62927    LOL Moma Bug. Its an awkward word for me too. Thank you Crimson Regret, purpose is a good word to begin with. Release Me, a throw away pile- I definately have to work on that.
Date: 7/11/2006 11:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 53284    At work, I tend to be a list maker. I make list of things to do (w/ dates etc as necessary). If you have a list it has always been easier for me to get more things done. I guess that it would really depend on the type of job that you are going to do.
Date: 7/11/2006 11:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 7574    Separate things by size, shape and usage. I store other things categorized by dates or importance. Usually, whatever I need most I want it to be the most accessible, but I like to keep things tidy too.
Date: 7/11/2006 12:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 52155    set the pile on fire. after the fire is out, you know what is worth organizing, and what is just rubbish.
Date: 7/11/2006 1:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 14754    LOL @ EDDO
Date: 7/11/2006 2:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 63449    I'll get back to you on this one - looking up the definition of "organize"...HA!
Date: 7/11/2006 2:42:00 PM  ( Wyn-Admin )   The VERY best way to organize...Get someone else to do it
Date: 7/11/2006 3:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 35438    I usually start by putting ALL the mess into one spot, so that everything you're going to organize stuff into is all cleaned out. That way, as you organize the big pile o' stuff, you have nice, clean, tidy places to put it all!
Date: 7/11/2006 3:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 55533    In my case, I just kiss everything goodbye and then throw everything into my closet. Sigh...my stupid lazyiness lol
Date: 7/11/2006 3:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 19772    The first key to organization is learning to throw stuff away. I know I'm guilty for trying to hang on to crap that just has no real purpose. Sometimes you just have to let it go. ~Take care~
Date: 7/11/2006 4:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 63887    I organize with... Fire!Haha..Just kidding :P
Date: 7/11/2006 5:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 47218    or-gan-ize????????
Date: 7/12/2006 4:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 53054    tell me how to organise about 50 kg of stuff into only 20 kg, and then i will be totally organised!
Date: 7/12/2006 5:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 18516    Organize??? What's that???? lol
Date: 7/12/2006 6:08:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62927    LOL! and the winner is get someone else to do it WildBob, dates are definately good. Amers, Good Point in accessability... but I never know what I will need next (If I could get my head organized) Okay Eddo, You are the most right of all. Tweeti, thank you for stopping in, and what did you find Blue Girl.
Date: 7/12/2006 6:16:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62927    Thats a good theory Beads, but then I change directions and get tired of it and do as Paper Mario says I kiss it goodbye and push it in the closet! Tossing, Fire, Compactor, Thank you for reminding me that I can live without It is so good to see you Jynx, Mollycat, Italia and Lemon.
Date: 7/12/2006 6:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 53900    OK I am super organized(problem is I live with four people who are superDISORGANIZED) I would start with figuring out the best system for what I was organizing. Then I would start seperating them into whatever it is I think would work best then get them put up. I am told that sometimes I am just to organized...I dont think that is possible though
Date: 7/12/2006 9:21:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62927    I think the more organized you are, you create a simpler life for you. Thank Luv for 2 Pac
