getting ready to go to bed in a couple hours myself... I have a new job and for the first month I am on nights... trying to get used to the shift. I am off until friday night, but think it's better if I stay on the shift, so I stayed up watching late night tv. ugh.  |

10 minute walk from home, so that is nice. but 12 hour shifts, so that will take some getting used to. I have only done one and a half shifts so far, the first was on days for orentation, then right to nights, but it is 2 days on 2 off, then three on and three off... so loads of days off, but on the night shift I don't know what to do with myself during the time off... the shifts run for a month, so a month of nights followed by a month of days... I am now in the poly-tube business, we make tubing for most anything from culverts to drip tubes for watering gardens. |

Wow, the shifts actually don't sound too bad. My husband does the month of days, month of nights thing. He finds it difficult the first week of each new shift. You pretty much have to retrain your system. |

zactly, that is why I am trying to stay on the shift during my days off, but i know there will be times that I will have to go with 4 hours sleep just to get stuff done on my off-days |

Hey LadyLuck! Glad you have some time for you for a change. I work nights, too...used to work 10 hours then they changed it to 8 hours because they don't want to pay the overtime since we ALWAYS end up working Fridays and Saturdays. And that's it for me...just working. Have a great day!  |

My boyfriends brother is coming to visit Saturday, so I'm trying to have the house clean. Its just so hard to keep clean with the kids coming behind you and messing everything up, lol.
