Anyone recall their favotite moment with their father? David/Fearfactor

I'd say mine was anytime we'd play catch, or a game around the house. There were always things to laugh about, and time never seemed like a factor when we did stuff like that together.

I'd like to hear everyone's special moments with their dad!!

Date: 6/18/2006 6:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 63449    Call this a corny response BUT - Every moment I get to spend with my Dad is my favorite. To be around such a kind, giving, strong man is truly a wonderful thing. We've always had fun together and I cherish those times and the times yet to come.
Date: 6/18/2006 6:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 49101    The day he saw snow for the first time in his life at the age of 33. He and my mom were divorced when I was a baby, and my mom moved from Puerto Rico (Where he had spent his entire life) to California. Later he moved there to be closer to us. A year or so later, my mom took him to see the snow, and he cried, and played just like a kid. My father and I never got along, and I haven't seen him in over 15 years.
Date: 6/18/2006 6:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 47296    My favorites were the times when we were working together, be it rebuilding an old car or motorcycle, working on equipment, or doing work around the farm or out in the hay fields. With both of us having different engineering backgrounds, we made a good team.

Date: 6/18/2006 7:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 36901    I can't pick just one. My dad is a wonderful man and he's always here for me. I had a great time with him today as always.
Date: 6/18/2006 7:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 12806    One memory that sticks with me is when I was 5 years old, my dad used to get avacadoes and he would mash them and mix "tabasco" sauce with them. We would eat it on crackers. It would burn my mouth so bad, but I would never complain, because I was doing it with my dad.........
Date: 6/18/2006 8:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 36538    My favorite moment with my dad was when I was little and we would play kick ball together. It'd be just us two, but it was awesome. I got to pretend like I was the whole team.

Date: 6/18/2006 8:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 63743    My favorite time was one day that i wanted to go camping and we couldnt go, he made a tent out of bed sheets, put it in the backyard and told me old folk tales from my country, he also told me the name of the stars. That's my favorite!
Date: 6/18/2006 9:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 62849    When I was little and he spent a really long time in his bedroom practicing his guitar. Then he called my brother and my mom and me into the room and played a song from my favorite movie- "The Wizard of Oz." It was awesome.
Date: 6/18/2006 9:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 27403    This sounds really bizarre, but one of my favorite early childhood memories of my father include him taking me to an ice house! LOL! I was about 4 or 5 and I had on this frilly dress with tons of petticoats and Mother had put my hair in Shirley Temple curls, and I was just "dorable" LOL! And Daddy had some old buddies at the Ice House that he just felt he had to show me off to, so we went in and he had a coke and I got to prance up and down the bar with all the old guys telling me I was just the prettiest little girl they had ever seen. And Daddy, just puffed up and proud as a peacock. So, surely not socially acceptable today, but in the time of old neighborhood watering holes, was not quite such a nono. And I still have not forgotten it! Love and Light

Date: 6/19/2006 6:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 15157    My favorite moment would be when he would grab me by the hands and plop me on his big ole feet and he used to dance me around the room while he hummed...My mom used to get a kick out of it and say Awwwwww all the time LOL
Date: 6/19/2006 6:21:00 AM  From Authorid: 15157    LOL Lightworker that was cool!...You made me remember another favvy moment wit me dad...When he would take me to the Salvage Yard to sell copper!..He`d get the money and buy me a big Fig-newton bar LOL!
Date: 6/19/2006 6:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 63725    I have so many so I will cheat and give more than one...Dad would take only the kids and we would get ice cream, going to the stock car races-just the 2 of us, the drive in movie family nights, sitting in the bathroom and watching him shave and chatting...PEACELOVER
Date: 6/19/2006 7:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 20104    Camping in Galena, IL as a kid. My dad hid in trees while us kids tried to find him in the dark. He would make loud whistling sounds and then jump out of one tree and go to another and do it again. We would just run around and never find him. Those were the best times.
