Since its Flag day...David/Fearfactor

what comes to mind when you think of the flag? To me I get the visual picture from the book, Red Battle of Courage, where the hero in the book, takes the flag from a fallen soldier while never letting it touch the ground and leads his men on a successful charge during a Civil War battle.

What setting or pretext do you visualize our Stars and Stripes as whenever you think of "Old Glory"

I think of Gettysburg this time of year on Flag Day, but I also never forget the VietNam War since I lost loved ones in that nasty one.
