------------------------------------------------------
I've noticed over the years that I've changed. What used to be a nice and cheerful person, has slowly degraded into something horrible. Someone who doesn't care. Why? I think that it's because a human is shaped by his or her experiences, and my experiences had been good until age 18, when I found out the reason for my adoption was my abusive drug using mother, my father, dead of luchemia. These are things that will make one question his or her beliefs. And my beliefs being that the world was good at it's core, and it was only a select few people who made it the horrible place that it was. It was my misguided beliefs that led me down a road of destruction. The will to help others is what destroyed me and left nothing but a pile of rubble for me to try to reconstruct.
I should start at the beginning. My name is Daniel. I grew up in a good home, with a good family. I had more than most children had growing up, but that wasn't enough for me. I wanted adventure, I wanted to see the world. So when I turned 19 I left my parent's house to meet a girl down south by the name of Elizabeth. I had met her on the internet, and arranged to meet her in person at hocking college. After the three hour drive, I walked into the college and found her easily. She was everything I expected. We discussed our plans for the future and decided it would be beneficial to us both if we could get an apartment together and attend the local college. But she had her own matters to deal with first. So she set me up with some of her friends. Shawn and Joanna. Two seemingly normal people, although I would find out differently in the coming months.
At first, they asked me to go with them to buy beer, that was fine. But this only lasted for about three weeks. Then they began to ask me to drive them into the city. I had no idea what they were doing when they went in, but I would find out eventually, and it wasn't going to be good. I knew that something was happening here, and that it was something bad, but I held onto the idea that I could help them, that I couldn't get in too deep. After all, I was raised by good parents, and the line between right and wrong had been set in place long ago. I've never been so wrong in my life. How it changed my life:...
