Not all the side effects will be present for everyone, like medications, not all the side effects will take effect. For example, I take Topamax, an Anti-Seizure Medication, now the side effects listed are: an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives); worsening of seizures; metabolic acidosis (a high acidity of the blood that may be detected by blood tests). Symptoms of metabolic acidosis include increased rate of breathing, decreased appetite, and irregular heartbeats; decreased sweating; fever or increased body temperature; or side or low back pain, or painful or difficult urination (may indicate kidney stones). Now I have none of these. Example Body Temp: When I go to Moffitt its routine to check BP, Heart rate, and Temp, my temp is low, 97.1 or so |

It's completely normal, the deep sleep or the REM (rapid eye movement) phase produces muscular immobility so if awaken suddenly it might take a few seconds before you're able to move again. This might help: http://www.sleepdisorderchannel.net/stages/ |

Yeah I've had it happen quite a bit before, nothing lately though. You can read some of my earlier posts on it...come to find out what you're feeling is called sleep paralysis. It used to really scare me but then I learned to just 'go with it' and it wouldn't be so bad. |
