I dunno. I think I would have asked through the door what they wanted and put that queston a little more to rest. Maybe something happened to their car while it was there that night and they wanted to ask if you had seen anything suspicious. Could be a lot of reasons really. Must of been important to be there 3 nights. I would think if they wanted to rip you off they wouldn't be so obvioius but I'm just guessing so take care.  |

If it seems suspicious, probably is. Call the cops give a description, let them take a description of the car. If it's no harm intended then, no one gets hurt. Better to be safe then sorry.  |

Sounds very suspicious, but yes I am paranoid but don't answer the door and if they come around again just call the police maybe they will get the message. You can't be too careful now days.

Yeah, Souldrifter is right maybe you should ask thru the door at least that would let them know someone is home so if they are planning to rob your house then that would ward them off. |

Very suspicious. I would call the police and let them know what is going on. I recently saw a program on "Home Invasion" which told stories of how person(s) would come to your door with reasons like needing to use the phone because the car is broke down or maybe lost. Just be very careful. Like someone else said they may be checking out your times at home.

I would be a bit concerned. Many times the broken down car routine is an attempt to scope a place out, trying to decide when someone is and is not at home, when certain family members are alone, etc. If they come knocking again, I would put a call into the police and let them have a chat with these fellows. Couldn't hurt. |

That would make me kind of uneasy too. There could be a lot of good reasons for them to knock on the door, but to be safe, don't open the door and hopefully they'll get the hint and go away.  |
