Hello my wonderful creative out of the box "USM Dew Drop In" wonderful people. In my college religion class we had to pick a religion to major in this semester and I thought Hinduism would be fun. I posted for your 'enlightenment' my first paper and you can understand that now I am exhausted and I have the other paper due in ten days and my teacher is not impressed with my topic "Hinduism expresses itself by home rituals," so I was wondering if you could add some more meat to it.
If you are hindu and do not want to be revealing but have something to say, please pm me, I am desperate and do not tell secrets. Otherwise if you've read this far, please ask about something you are curious about.
Why I chose home is the home and hearth thing, what makes Hindus tick, why can they appreciate education, and things like this, but when I research I get current events... the effects, and I am looking for the motivation. But though my paper is going in one direction, I am as good as Emitt Smith in going another direction, because bottem line is, in ten days, I need a paper.
Basically if you wanted to know something about another religion what would that be? If you are Hindu, what is important for non- Hindus to know? What is different in a Hindu Home over other non- Hindu familys, like Jews celebrate Sabbath within the family.
Some cool things I learned was to never do anything auspicious on Tuesdays, buy a house facing east, and at children's birthday parties the host gives gifts. AND Did you know Demi Moore and Britney Spears are connected to Hinduism? :)
