Well for me if I'm working hard for something in life, not only is it for me but, for my family. If your stepping on toes to do it, then I believe that's when it becomes selfish. |

It depends on what you mean by "Getting anywhere" ..I think if you want wealth & power, then yes you have to be selfish. If you want true happiness and love, I believe you gain such by helping and giving to others with is a selfless act. |

I dont think that those people are really happy with themselves in the long run. Aslong as your doing things for you and being honest and not hurting others then you will be more happy with what you have and with what you achieve by being yourself. |

I think it's a matter of balance. Like one one hand you need to take care of yourself, on the other you can not do it so much that you do not really look out for others. |
