I would love to have my money back........."When A Stranger Calls"

I would love to have my money back, from going to the show to see "When A Stranger Calls". This was the biggest waste of time, and money. Not to mention the three dollar bottle of water that I bought there. I was going to sneak my own bottle in, but my son didn't think that was kosher. My husband was out of town when my son and I went to see this movie. I told him when he got back, that I didn't think it would be long before people are going to stop going to the theaters, because of the high price of the concessions, and the false hype over the movies. Plus the fact, that this movie wasn't even remade in it's entirety. Maybe I should have done some research on this, because I wouldn't have gone if I would have known that. I'm tired of horror movies being billed as so traumatic, that you shouldn't see it by yourself. Not that I read that about this movie, but they might as well have written that. Even after all this, I still can't wait for the next horror movie! I'm a sucker. One last thing, there was something sort of entertaining in the theater. We were the only people there, except for some old man that was sitting fairly close to the screen. Periodically, this man would let out loud moans, and it was all we could do to keep from not laughing. I asked my son once, "What is that guy doing"? The old man kept talking to himself during the movie. That was a first for me. BUT....it still wasn't worth the three dollars for the water.

Date: 3/8/2006 3:12:00 AM  From Authorid: 53909    This is one movie that I didn't plan on seeing. For some reason, it reminds me of a movie that was already made or something..just can't put a finger to it.
Date: 3/8/2006 3:34:00 AM  From Authorid: 15070    that bad? What a disappointment-I wanted to see it too. Thanks for the "head's-up".
Date: 3/8/2006 4:06:00 AM  From Authorid: 62926    i'm just gonna wait and buy this on dvd~
Date: 3/8/2006 6:47:00 AM  From Authorid: 20104    I didnt think this movie looked very good when I saw the previews. I really hate all the horror movies that are out right now. It seems to be the in thing and I am not in to horror movies....unless they are Stephen King of course.
Date: 3/8/2006 6:50:00 AM  From Authorid: 20104    Oooops I forgot to add...I always sneak things into the theater. Did you notice if you buy popcorn and a drink it is just as expensive as buying a movie ticket...that is crazy. So I bring in drinks and snacks in my huge purse. Sometimes I will cave and buy the popcorn. I love it!!!
Date: 3/8/2006 9:17:00 AM  From Authorid: 49889    I saw it, and I wanted to scream. I couldn't just leave cuz I was actually out on a date at the time and he seemed to enjoy it (warning sign!!!). Ugh, it was terrible.
Date: 3/8/2006 12:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 36901    I didn't like the original, so I doubt I'll like the remake either.
Date: 3/8/2006 1:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 37150    that stinks. Sorry 2 hear that. i hate being disappointed in movies when it costs so freakin' much! what i do, is check on Yahoo! movies and check the grade the movie gets. if it gets anything less than a B, i won't see it.
Date: 3/8/2006 8:50:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28193    Punk Star Chik, I wish now that I hadn't gone. I don't know why they didn't remake the whole movie. I know that "The Hills Have Eyes" is remade. Is that the one you are thinking about?
Date: 3/8/2006 8:54:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28193    Spirit Child, yes, I thought it was bad. I don't know if everybody else would think that, but I did. I felt cheated that they didn't do the whole movie..but at the same time, this one wasn't very good.
Date: 3/8/2006 9:09:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28193    Chella, I hope you like it. I'm kind of glad that I didn't buy the DVD. It would have been more!
Date: 3/8/2006 9:12:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28193    Jamie J, it does seem like the horror movies out now, are lacking something. It seems like they are all remakes. I like some of Stephen King.
Date: 3/8/2006 9:13:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28193    Fiery Angel..LOL!!! Yes, there was something about it that seemed empty.
Date: 3/8/2006 9:19:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28193    Apryl, I liked the original. My son hadn't seen it, so we watched it after we saw the remake. He liked it. I wonder if they were just trying to appeal to younger people, who didn't know about the first one?
Date: 3/8/2006 9:21:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28193    Mayuka, thanks for that tip. I will have to look over there from now on. I didn't know about that.
Date: 3/8/2006 9:24:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28193    Jamie J..Yes, it's at that point where it's more, or almost. We had gone in the afternoon, and I think the ticket was 5.75. I have taken my own water in before. I know it was wrong, but I always have a bottle of water with me.
Date: 3/8/2006 9:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    I've seen this wrote somewhere before haha Three dollar water, what's this world coming too!
Date: 3/8/2006 10:03:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28193    B.Monkey13, LMAO!!! I didn't even look at the price of the water. I quit drinking pop, so it's the only other thing there. My son said something to me about the price, later on.
Date: 5/22/2006 6:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 62095    I love scary movies and have seen pretty much everyone of them. This was boring and nothing exciting happened. I remember the first "when a stranger calls" being much better.

Date: 12/4/2006 12:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 35160    i liked it, thought it was pretty good.
Date: 12/4/2006 1:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 51292    Wow I had a feeling this one wouldnt be all that great..thanks for the review! =]
