Norman, all of this is so very, very true. I cn see it everywhere I look. I see it everytime I hear a little kid cheer for the bad guy on the movie screen. I see it in the way people treat each other on the highway. I see it in the way young people treat the old people now a days. I see it in the rising rate of violent crimes. I see it when children take guns and kill each other and their teachers. I see it in the filth that is on the tv and movie screen. Satan is hard at work and it seems like he is running rampant. But, he knows his time is short and he is trying to do as much damage as he can. If the Lord tarries, things will get much, much worse, if you can imagine such a thing. But, God is in control and He knows the end of the story. I'm just waiting and praying for Jesus to come back soon and put an end to all of this. Songbird  |

He truely is a master of deception. I ask you though to expand a little on the "doctrines" that he uses. I am curious as to your understanding of these doctrines.  |

Everything you've stated is absolutely true, and there are many other things satan uses to get to people's minds such as mediocrity, new age philosophy, world peace, one world government, unification of religions (maybe the same as new age stuff), intrigue (mysticism), extraterrestrial beings (UFO's and such), just to name a few off the top of my head. Did you mention apathy as a means by which he uses to keep people from persuing spiritaul matters? Apathy is a big one as many people feel that it is a waste of time. People are also just burdened from trying to make a living and get through every day life. Just thought I'd throw that one in. |

Pam for the sake of argument I won't expand on many doctrines Satan uses to deceive mankind but I will say many belief systams out there today is one of his devices. Anything that is not of Christ should give you a good hint. This is why the Holy Scriptures says:"Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds." 2 John 1 -11. Pam in other words we as Christians must always be very careful whom we deal with and what we study. This is also why the Scriptures says to study the word of the Lord so we can know the difference no matter how slight it may be. Pam the bottom line is we must receive the full Gospel of Christ in our minds and come to know the Lord in all fullness and do those things that are written therein for the time is at hand.  |

Pam that is why it is written:"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15. We as Christians must earnestly study the word of the Lord for ourselves so we will know the difference no matter how slight it may be. Even a slight difference can make a big difference leading to error. |

I thank you for that answer, JT. I was wondering and glad you cleared it up.... Norman, There are many doctrines that are not scriptural and yet the churches have incorporated them as though they were. These ones claim to know the scriptures and claim that they are biblically based yet they are not. You can twist and turn the scriptures to make it mean what you want it to mean and build a whole congregation around it. So how is a person to "know"? Many people that come here claim that what they believe is from God and I dont see it that way at all! What I see are people that have been taught things and have accepted these things all of their lives without question. And they are manmade doctrines! |

Norman, I have questions for you and tell me what you think. I used to believe that you need to belong to a certain religion organization to be saved and believe in God. But I realize that we can pray at home and read the Bible by ourselves and be saved. Question #1 What is your opinion on man made religions and which ones if you don't mind naming you believe it's Satan in disguise? Question #2 Somone commented that they believe new age philosophy is part of Satan's deceit. Does this include spiritual books that teaches reincarnation and karma? Also, Satan and his demons are evident when the Catholic church tortured Native American Indians, burned heretics at the stake but yet preaches the Ten Comandments "Thy shall not murder" and Catholics condemn abortion but they killed many innocent people too in the past during the Spanish Inquisition. Catholic church supported the Holocaust during WWII. Catholic priests are molesting altar boys and women parishioners. But Catholics preaches that one must go to confession, attain the seven sacraments, go to church every Sunday to be saved but in their hyprocritical past had committed more sins than any one of us put together. My quesiton is, besides the Catholic church, which other religions you believe has Satan misleading us thinking we are going to the Light but they are actually leading us into the Darkness? Please repond I'd like to know what you think cause after I read your opinion I thought it was very intelligently done and you gave good points.  |

There are MANY churches which appear to lead to Jesus Christ (and eventually Our Heavenly Father) that are actually leading the way AWAY from the Lord.But I have faith that Jesus will find His people wherever they are. However one must ask themselves 1) why the attend a particular church (are they getting the spiritual food they need?) 2) would Our Father be pleased with the church? (would He not only feel welcome ,but want to stay?) 3) if it is a Christian church (defined as following the teachings of Christ) we are told HE is the "only way,truth & life?"...everything else is tradition & those works are "dirty rags" to Our Heavenly Father.......LSG |

Author 17513 that is not what 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 13 says. It says:"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." It doesn't say anything about preachers although there are many false prophets out in the world at work right now. Seducers are those who speak with a flattering tongue and that can be anyone. No offense but if you are going to quote Scripture get it right because it can backfire on you. |

Quarter Past Midnight, thank you for correcting me. Funny thing that you said that because I read that verse from a pocket Bible that someone had given me as a gift. The name of this Bible is called God's Word. Since you went back and looked at your Bible, it goes to show that TWO things are said differently in 2 different Bibles. I am going to check out other Bibles to see if words have been changed. But, anyway, thanks for the advice because there is a verse in the Bible where God warns anyone of taking words out of the Bible and misusing it. I wouldn't want to be quoting the wrong things and misleading others. My Bible is different from what yours said. Sorry if I read the wrong scripture. Makes you think how men can change words in the Bible, huh? |

Here is the same verse from the New International Version of the Holy Scriptures:"While evil men and imposters will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived." It all basically says the same thing but the wording is different due to the fact the King James version is Old English while the New International Version is modern English. |

In reference to your post, do you believe that Lucifer can ever redempt himself and change his ways or is he so far gone in himself in misleading so many souls to destruction that he could never be saved again? What do you think about this? Since Lucifer used to be God's angel, I wonder if him and his demons have tried to gain entrance back in the kingdom of God and ask for his forgiveness. Obviously, they were casted out of heaven by God but how come he could not forgive Lucifer for his wrongdoings? Did Lucifer cross the line with God? I like how you use facts to explain things that's why I am interested in your opinion. Thank you! |

Norman this is personal for me because my brother became involved with Satanism and it destroyed our family. He turned away from God. My mom and I have tried hard to make him stop worshiping Lucifer and I just printed out your post so I could give it to my brother to read and see who Lucifer really is. I am so happy that you wrote this cause I didn't know how else to help my brother see Lucifer is fake and makes empty promises with his lies |

Author 17513 Lucifer and the rest of the angels who rebelled with him can never redeem themselves simply because they had every opportunity to do that before the Lord expelled them from their first estate. You have to understand Lucifer and those angels who sided with him in the beginning openly rebelled against the Lord of hosts because Lucifer wanted to be like God and set himself up as God. It was because of Lucifer's pride and beauty that his heart was lifted up and he thought he could be like God. Lucifer was jealous of Jesus from the beginning because unlike Jesus he was not permitted to go into the secret counsels with God like Jesus was permitted to do. As time went on the Lord bore long with Lucifer and the rest of the angels who remained faithful to the Lord and didn't take part in open rebellion tried to persuade Lucifer to stop what he was doing but he wouldn't listen and as a result it led to open rebellion which led to his expulsion from the heavenly courts. The Lord could have very easily destroyed Lucifer and those angels who sided with him but if He had done that the rest of the angels along with the beings in other worlds would be serving God out of fear and the Lord does not want anyone to serve Him out of fear but out of love because He is a God of love and that was evident when He sent His only begotten Son into the world so that those who believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. If you look at that event and compare it with Earth's history you will note there is a parallel. Mankind has every opportunity to repent and be saved but just like the days of Noah the same it is today before the coming of the Son Of Man. People are eating, drinking, marrying, given into marriage, building up and tearing down, and doing every evil thing their hearts can muster up. Man did all of the above during Noah's day until the flood came and swept them all away. Only 8 people were saved inspite of Noah's warnings he gave during the course of 120 years because the Lord had given mankind 120 years to repent during that time. It is because of man's rebelliousness and sinful nature is the reason why the Lord is coming again a second time to destroy this world and eradicate sin once and for all including the devil and his host and sin will not rise up a second time. The reason the Lord is permitting sin to run rampant because sin has to run its course and the Lord wants all of the heavenly host along with the rest of the beings inhabiting other worlds to see the results of rebellion and disobedience to His laws which are just and perfect. When the Lord comes again the second time He will be fully justified in destroying this Earth and those who have rejected His mercy, love, and everlasting grace. Why should the Lord continue to tolerate the wickedness of mankind along with the devil and his minions? Would you continue to tolerate your children being disrespectful and disobedient towards you in your household? |

Norman, thank you for taking your time out to answer my questions. I know you have to reply to many other posts and I've read your other posts where you have met some resistance from nonbelievers. I know you tried hard to get across to some, as I have without avail. But sometimes let people see for themselves what their disbelief in God is doing to their lives. Are they happy? Do they feel complete? No. Without God, life is just an empty cup. We need God's biblical principles to set us straight for our own good. People think God's rules are strict but its food for our soul to enrich us to become better. I really appreciate that you took the time to explain my question with Lucifer and his legion of demons. That's true what you said about Lucifer and his angels. They did declare war against God and God had no choice. Sometimes we can see manifestations of Lucifer and his demons in people here on earth the evil that they do. I've read other posts by you and I was wondering if I could correspond with you cause I have lots of questions that I feel you can help me find answers to. I didn't think about that, that God could of destroyed Satan and his legion and that is possible but God didn't cause the other angels would live in fear. It's really sad that God gave us free will but to go through the narrow road that leads to eternal life but many choose the wide road to destruction.
