It has never ben difficult for me to tell those I love., "I love them"...Though it seems nowadays, the word is used rather loosely., Saying it & really meaniong it are two different things, altogether....T/C  |

Whenever I'm talking to any of my best friends or my family, I make sure to tell them I love them at the end of the conversation. I think that, if something were to happen to them, or me, I'd want to have said that to them. And my hubby and I tell each other we love each other several times a day.  |

I can say it to my best friend & her family (we're really close), but i've never been able to say it to my OWN family..my own mom and dad..i try to everytime i talk to them, but i never can..and i hate that i can't.  |

I say it to family and friends when we get to say it face to face, and sometimes on the phone. My boyfriend and I say it to one another on a multiple-times-a-day basis- enough to the point where it's probably excessive, but it still feels nice to hear it, and even better to be able to say it.  |

I don't say I love you unless I truly mean it. My Daughter will say it to almost anyone and I have a problem with that personally. Love is a strong emotion and you have to truly FEEL it before saying "I love you"..IMO  |

There are many ways to use the word love. LIke I will say luv ya to friends after sending a email, and I do love them. Do I love them as close as my family or as close as my husband? Well of course not, but then in some cases yes its true. Some I have not met in person but talked to for these past five years and I do love them in a way that is so much different then a physical relationship with the touch of a real human. My dad has a problem with the words I love you. Or even love you. When I leave his house I'll say, love ya dad, and my sisters and brothers can say the same thing to him, he will say things like, thats nice, or I'll remember that. but he CANT say I love you. strange huh?  |

Come to think of it..I don't really say "I love you" to anybody..one of my friends always say "I love you Jenny" but she does that to everybody so its one of those things that doesnt matter..I don't really tell my family I love them, it feels sort of uncomfortable..the only person I actualy tell I love them is my sister  |

It all depends on the person. If a close family member or friend says it, I don't mind. If I'm on a 3rd date with a guy and he says it (in all seriousness...since I've had that happen to me on more than one occasion) it just makes me uncomfortable and it very off-putting to me.  |
