Alec Zino--->Who gave his name to Zino's petrel, Europe's rarest breeding bird.

Jacques Monod--->Monod discovered the operon system that controls gene action in bacteria.

Garnet Carter---->American inventor of miniature golf

Howard T. Ricketts--->The two organisms Ricketts discovered were the first of what were later shown to be an unusual genus of virus-like bacteria - now named the Rickettsiae.
