sickening. I want to meet the defense lawyer and do knock him out. Thats what wrong with our justice system, too many slaps on the wrist, and lawyers crying over harsh sentences. When will we as americans demand harsher sentencing. I am glad the Jury gave her the 25-75 years in prison.  |

I agree Psy, I just can't imagine the pain and suffering this little one endured. And by her own mother. I would do anything to help stop child abuse, I can't stand thinking about the little ones like this who suffer and just wish I knew why, perhaps that would be the key to end the pain for children who suffer from parental abuse. I love children and would give all that I have just to never read a story like this again. It is heartbreaking, and child abuse is something I can't understand, can't imagine why and even worse, can't grasp any reason why anyone who kills or tortures a child would want to go on living. Andrea Yates is a prime example, what does life hold for anyone after they have drowned five of their own babies? Is there a reason and is there any amount of hope for ever having a normal life again? And how could there be? How could one ever let go?  |

No excuse, and no reason. I pray every day for children who suffer from abuse and those who have suffered. I have seen the results of neglect and abuse and it will always tear at my heart and be the reason why I post these stories. Let child abuse end. |

What makes these people tick??? they are not fit to inhabit the earth...and that poor little girl, how can she possibly grow into normal adulthood when she has been terrorized like that...poor little darling, my heart goes out to her and other children like her who are at the mercy of these people who call themselves mothers...*hugs*  |

Spirit Child and Zema, I feel exactly the same way. I appreciate you caring about this enough to comment and help in bringing awareness to the cycle of child abuse. We have to be there for the little ones. Find ways to stop child abuse, and those little ones who suffer most by those who they should be able to trust and believe in. |
