I did a post a while ago about this but I need to elaborate on it. It seems as though I have a phantom hearse making appearances from time to time. I can't really say it's phantom though but it sounds so cool.
Three times a week I travel 14 roads through 7 tiny towns in 3 counties for about 60 miles. For the past year and a half I have seen (many times) a hearse. Now, this should be no big deal except for a few things. It is the same hearse with the same driver...a little old man with white hair who stares straight ahead. And I have seen him on many of the 14 roads I travel at various places at various times of the morning. You may think this is just some guy taking his hearse to work. I don't think so. First of all the roads I take are very rural. There are no funeral homes in any of these towns and not even within 10 miles of any of these towns. If he were going to work in a town with a funeral home, there are better, more convieniant ways, for him to get there, and besides even if I altered my route I would find him someplace I wouldn't expect, but I did consider that fact until a couple of months ago. I always used to see him within 20 miles of where I work. Then one day I saw him closer to where I live. There are many miles between me and work. What is he doing up here? That's when it went from me trying to find the logical explanation to starting to be creeped out by it.
I see him maybe once a week or everyother week. It's not predictable. There doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern to it. I only know that when I see him coming I feel like it's a warning of some kind. Could be I'm just being paranoid but this has been going on for a year and a half. I honestly believe there is something mystical about this hearse and I like to believe it's not a bad omen. I really think I should somehow find the answer to this and prove to myself that there is nothing to it. The next time I see him I hope to get a liscence number and check it out. Other than that, I'm opened to any explanation or ideas as to how to find out about my phantom hearse.
